And the refs letting Lebron get away with murder as usual, the Celtics played one of their best games of the year against the Cavs. Olynyk has really come out of his shell taking the ball more to the hoop and being more aggressive.
Sullinger's 3 pointers are exciting but his real calling is at the rim. I have never seen anyone get the position he does under the basket.
granted, we need a couple people but why not let them come to us like they have instead of tanking like a bunch of punks. this team we played will be there at the end and I think we played them pretty darn well!!!

Post Game:

Back in the visitors locker room, James spoke highly of the Celtics.

"I think they are going to surprise a lot of teams and they are better than what the critics said coming into this season," he said. "I think Coach Stevens has done a great job putting a system in there that allows everyone to feel comfortable, to feel loose and play a great style of basketball."

People here (not you)  need a little perspective. Sullinger and Olynyk are shaping to be at the very top of their draft classes (as I expect Smart to be also) They've taken another step up this year and Rondo appears to be returning to an All-Star level of talent.

Young teams struggle, but we have talent that is definitely improving and tons of draft picks and cap space coming too. I'll put forth the opinion that we could have had Love for Sully, Smart, Young, a future first and filler, and we'd be worse off long-term.  Didn't think that was last summer, but I do now.

We're not winning #18 this year or next, but we're markedly improved from last year's tankfest.

There's a reason why our team was ranked mid-late 20s on rankings at the beginning of the season. Looking at the roster on an unbiased perspective, there's just not enough talent for us to compete for a playoff spot. I do still think though that Stevens has done an excellent job at maximizing our rosters talent, seeing that we could easily be 6-2 with 3 (Dallas, Toronto and Cleveland) close games that didn't go our way.

I agree that I like the direction of this team and the job Stevens os doing. Despite the negative threads that pop up after loses "replace Stevens", "AB is awful'. This season has already been enjoyable to watch. They are a young team with players trying to figure out role but they are playing good entertaining basketball.

Are there eight teams in the East that are clearly better than us talent-wise?  How about teams like the Hawks or the Hornets? In my opinion this team is in the position to compete for a playoff spot. Brad Stevens needs to figure out how to not let the 4th quarter melt down happen again.
