Say all you want about that game (Celts/Cavs), Rondo choking* (all though not so much a choke as nerves imo), us giving up a 19 point lead in the 4th quarter**, etc etc.....

We are literally one player away (Rim protector of course) from being a top team. Not with big names, but with heart, hustle and effort. Rondo is a stud, Green is cold blooded, and Bradley is (almost) a good shooter/ (can be/used to be? undecided) defender. Sully and KO and basically one in the same, and I hate to say it but one of them has to be a 6th man. They both are great honestly, and I don't analyze enough to know whose better, but point is, we are there. Great game, Great effort.

*I won't say Rondo choked, but I will not argue with anyone who says he did. I love that he wanted it in the last second and unfortunately mishandled it. In my opinion, choking is putting up the pump fake because you're scared to shoot it. I honestly think he wanted it so bad, that he messed up on one of the things he does without thinking about, because he was thinking about it. (If that makes sense). Also the play where Lebron knocked it off his shoe was more great defense than choking. He drove on Lebron and went up, takes the mentality. Good Defense on LJ's part.

**Hated it. Yelled about it. Couldn't agree more that it's pathetic. I'm never one to say "The refs gave them that game", so I won't and honestly don't believe they did. I mean they gave us the last possession. But I did disagree with a lot of calls. That Bradley/KO foul, give me a break.

Love,

Bill Murray from Space Jam
Every year there are 6-7 teams with a lower winning percentage than our current record. I think we've gotten so used to ignoring the bottom feeders since 2008 that we've forgotten how bad some teams are.

I don't think he choked. I think the plan was pick & roll with Sully and take it to the rim. He bobbled the ball and lost valuable seconds.

Everyone always says rim protector will change everything but its not true. Yes an athletic big is needed but we need to upgrade at the 2 and 3. Having a SG that can't dribble or pass is really tough. Green is a good player but he's not good enough to make a difference. Bradley mean while continues to make stupid fouls, we need to upgrade those 2 and add the big.

Meh, we're alright.  We're much further than "a rim protector" away from being a true contender.   Too many mediocre players.  Too many weaknesses and simply not enough star power.

These are things that IMHO decided this game:

1.  The travels by Sully and Evan Turner - two silly unforced turnovers that came at key times in the game

2. The two bad fouls on jump shots from Bradley and Thornton - again both of these gave up valuable points

3. Horrendous officiating on the Lebron drive + hook against Jeff Green.  No only did they NOT call the offensive foul (which would have given Boston the ball with a chance to increase their lead), but they eventually called a foul against Boston, putting Lebron at the line - a potential 2 or 3 point turnaround there from a single horrible call.

In a game that was eventually decided by a single possession, any one of those single events could have been the difference between a win and a loss.

Bradley also went on a huge run today where he scored something like 10 points in the space of about 5 minutes that kept us in the game and stopped Cleveland's momentum.

He also had a couple of huge defensive possessions against Irving.

Yes he may have made 2 or 3 mistakes, but it's unfair to ignore all the positive things he did out there.

Same for Green.

We need an interior defender AND a player that can flat-out score in isolation. When the game slows in the 4Q we need that guy that can simply get us baskets. Right now we just don't have that. Rondo's an excellent player, but he's too limited offensively to have him try to fill that role. That's just not his game.

Please don't take my post as literal and not in the heat of moment. But please take the message lol people.

PS. I'm also not really Bill Murray from Space Jam.

I agree also does anybody remember if Zeller was in there? He did great for the most part was even protecting the paint and finishin buckets around the rim off rolls why pull him unless he was in don't remember seeing him in crunch time

Until Young actually gets playing time and shows weaknesses in his game.  Then C's fans will be all over him and want him traded.  Whoever our SG draft prospect is at that time will then better than James Young, correct?

Coach is falling behind the eight ball.

He has cost us with poor judgement of player use.
