KG wants to one day own the Timberwolves

"I want to buy the Timberwolves. Put a group together and perhaps some day try to buy the team. That's what I want," Garnett said after a 107-99 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

For Garnett, it’s all about his history with the franchise.

"That is the one that has my interest. I have ties there. Flip's there," said Garnett, 38.

“There are so many things that I see that I can provide to younger players,” Garnett said. “I gravitate to the guys that really, really work hard. I’m able to show them things. Help their games. To see the progress is huge.”

Wow , KGs loyalty knows no bounds!! It sounds like he wants to buy and mentor the Twolves together with Flip. He must have some lingering regrets that they never succeeded when he was there or with what they got for him in the deal with us.

not surprising, he did spent a majority of his career there, had some good runs with them. I can see him come back to the Celtics in some sort of role but I also see him being tied in with the Wolves as well. I think he can do better than Khan

Im sure part of it is he knows he's not getting Danny's job or buying Wyc and co's team.

How has Michael Jordan fared as an NBA owner? Just because KG was a phenomenal player doesn't mean he will be a great owner. The Timberwolves do have some young talent brewing in the Twin Cities but I don't see this happening any time soon.
