Looks like a good mock, NBA insider has a good group of writers who seems really in touch with NBA personnel.

This mocks has the Cs landing WCS @ #5, Hollis-Jefferson @ #23, Osman @ #33, Holmes @ #35 and Mitrovic @ #56

I like the first round. Both players project as elite defenders and athletes at their positions. I do wonder if DA would go with two players who are so limited offensively. The second round picks with the exception of Holmes I know little about. I do think Holmes will be a solid bench player in the pros.

My criticism of this mock would be that Jerian Grant is to low at #39 (I think he goes low 20s). i also think Alexander and Harrell should be swapped with Harrel going 16 and Alexander 20.

Man, Stanley Johnson would be really had to pass up at 5 but I would be ok with WCS if that's the way it fell...

Stanley will end up being the better player,  We need to select B.P.A and not draft for need.

I don't look at W.C.S as a mid lottery pick.

I think WCS vs S Johnson is a tough debate.

WCS, Elite defender, NBA ready on defensive end, and plays a premium position that is hard to fill

S Johnson, two way player, well rounded skill set, Elite strength at the 3, and great size at the 3. I think he will also be a great small ball 4 in certain lineups.

I honestly would be thrilled to get either player at #5. I hesitantly take WCS just based on position. BPA is always important but position needs to be taken into account when comparing the value of two players. Well rounded SFs carry less value then elite rim protectors. Out of up and coming NBA players who do you take D Green of Rudy Gobert? Established Stars C Anthony or D Howard? Im not saying Robert Upshaw should be ranked higher then Oubre of Winslow, im just saying when its close the value of a given position should prevail.

After this year of the Celtics, I do not want any more guys who are subpar defenders.

Haven't seen him yet, but I like what I've heard.

For this class I still like Stanley Johnson if we can't get Okafor or Towns.

The center position isn't a premium position anymore.  Its not even on the all-star ballot anymore.  WCS might make more sense if the C's were a contender but right now we need to go BPA with our picks.  While WCS is an elite defender, he is only a mediocre rebounder and limited offensively.  WCS is already 21 and pretty well defined while Johnson is just 18.  I want to see more of Johnson but he seems like the better pick right now.

Wow, I hate both of those picks. WCS is one of the only guys I'd truly be upset about Ainge taking top 10. For me his ceiling is "average NBA starter". No star potential at all. Give me almost any of the next 6 or 7 over WCS.

RHJ looks like a bust to me. A less explosive, less skilled Aaron Gordon. I'll take Portis or Dakari over him any day.

I can't help but wonder how much WCS is being helped by a 21 year old junior playing against mostly either (1) 18-19 year old freshman big men NBA caliber athletes / talents (2) comparable age non-NBA caliber big men athletes / talents.

WCS may end up making a real difference in the NBA without superior offensive skills (Mutombo style), but I liked him a lot more last year when he was slotted in the mid-teens. Taking him top 5 seems questionable and I think the first 9-10 gms of the draft may feel this way.

I'd be happy with WCS at 3, but we need to trade up with our second pick. If we can use other picks to get into the late lottery i'll be happy.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

With all these 2nd rd picks I'm really hoping we start implementing a Spurs like "draft and stash" approach rather than taking shots in the dark at fringe guys. It could pay dividends down the road.

At THREE? Ok...
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

I wouldn't take WCS at 3, I am entrenched in the Stanley Johnson camp....I just see All-Star Small Forward when I see him play.  I think he is going to have a nice career...

I wouldn't take WCS at 3, but one thing I believe in is you take the guy you think is best, mock drafts and big boards be [dang]ed.  Would it have been crazy to take Elfrid Payton at 3?  Or KJ McDaniels at 8.  Or Paul Pierce first?  (Of course you trade down if you can).

Every year, it's the same.  5 out of the top 10 whiff.  Forget mock drafts and just absorb as much game footage and research as possible.
