How embarrassing, the Celtics should have blown these guys away but obviously no one thought to school them on playing against a zone defense. instead of OKC, we looked like the guys that had played three games in four nights!!!
well, the word is out and everyone will be throwing that zone at us. it looked to me like this was something we never even touched on in practice or preseason.
by the way, this is the same team, without Durant and Westbrook that beat the crap out of us last year!!!  I guess those guys don't matter, just throw in a zone, game over!!!

Not every team can play a zone effectively.

We lost the game on the other end of the court. We give up 109 to a team that went into the game averaging 92 and all anyone could talk about was their zone defense. People are acting like we scored 72 points or something.

No no no, we definitely lost this game because of the zone.

Every game going forward every team will play zone against us until we can figure it out.

Which, honestly, we should be able to beat the zone with all the three point shooting we have... But well see. Give Brad a chance to figure this out.

We seemed to have it figured out pretty well in the first half.

Then they went big on us sometimes with Collison guarding Oly, and Adams and perk in rotation on Sully.  Sometimes they had Perk and Adams in there together.  Their bench has some nice pieces and once they get KD and Westbrook back I think they will be a lot stronger because their bench will be seasoned.

The Miami Heat lost to a hybrid zone in 2011, too. It happens.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I didn't watch the game, but from every report, OKC initially started with man-to-man defense and then once they ended up in that 18-3 hole, they switched to zone defense and started making their run.

Well I did watch the game and you are absolutely correct, Endless Paradise,  but some people with a lot of posts,  think anything they say will fly!!!

Yup, if they see it regularly they'll break it. They showed flashes of doing so last night.

When you don't see the zone regularly, it can throw you off.

This is also correct: I expect every word I type on here to be fully equipped for aerial maneuvering that would make the Red Baron blush.

The bulk of their run came when we subbed out the starters. The run ended when we put  the starters back in. We scored 21 points in the last 7 minutes of the half, generally against that zone. That might not "fly", but it's what happened in the game.

The zone will really make you live or die by the jumper.   We are a jump shooting team.

Yes, we are a jump shooting team but we definitely need to attack the paint more often!!!
