How do you guys think?
I think it's a good sign that he is confident and willing to take those shots
Now the screw is taken off, hope he can finally develope a outside shot, that will be huge

Phil Pressey took 3 3 pointers, 4 shots in total.

He made all 4 of them ... clank off the rim.

Well, let's be clear, two of them were in garbage time. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve credit but they made his line look drastically different. I still don't really want Rondo to take a lot of 3s unless he's wide open and already warmed up by making a few jumpers.

Unfortunately that could go for a lot of our players and not just Rondo

I'm pretty sure at least two of those never got any rim.

He made over 50%, no one else stepped up last night.  He was leading the troops just did not follow.

4 of them were taken when we were down 10 with 2-4 minutes left, or low on the shot clock it wasn't like he was in rhythm tie game and having confidence in his 3. They were heave checks.

None the less, they went in, and it looks good on the stats. If rondo is traded we'd need great talent back the guys averaging a Triple double.

The last 3 three-pointer were in garbage time. Nobody even bothered to guard him, there was no pressure, it was like practice. Don't read anything into it.
It's good for stat padding, but I guarantee you next game he will not even shoot 4 threes.

BTW Rondo's defense was bad. The post game show revealed how poor effort Rondo (and Bradley) give on defense.

I'm ok with Rondo taking 7 three's if he makes 4 of them.

Have to remember that at least three (I think three) of them came in the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game during garbage desperation time and he made 2 of them.

I think the Zone defense contributed to him shooting the threes.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Nobody ever guards Rondo when he has the ball.  They always go under the screen or otherwise dare him to shoot.

If Rondo can make 4 of 7 3-pointers, covered or not, on a consistent basis, it will elevate game considerably.  Even if the end result is teams start to cover him and he goes back to missing, the effect of the defense respecting his shot will create more space for the rest of the team and more opportunities for Rondo to create by passing.

he's also very cognizant of scouting reports, I'm sure is looking to gain more respect for that jumper
