The best summation of Kobe's career... (eventual) Third all time in scoring, first in missed shots.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I could only imagine how many shots Kobe would have missed if he played during those years with that type of pace.

I'd also like to point out that technically Kobe broke that record a while ago because 3pt misses are worth more.   :P
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

You forgot to mention 5 championships.

I misread this as "Kobe breaks Hondo's hand" and was ridiculously confused yet intrigued at where this thread could've gone.

When I saw the article on espn I thought it was going to be a single-game record.

Not that impressive, all things considered. There are plenty of players that have won 5 championships without being the best player on the team.  ;)

I too thought both of these things.

Regardless of how much hate you have for him, to say Kobe Bryant has not been impressive throughout his career is just a zing to oneself.

I would agree -- luckily I'm not saying that.

There really aren't that many.  Just 26 people have won at least 5 championships.  11 of them are Celtics (no Celtic on the list has a title from any other team).  10 of them have at least one of their titles from the Lakers (3 in Minny, 7 in LA).  5 have at least one title from the Bulls (Harper has both Chicago and LA).  Duncan is the only person with at least 5 titles to not have a title from one of those three teams.
