dwight was a honor student at stanford not an easy feat and that took time and concentration from basketball-with a commitment to NBA  dwight may improve quicker and become the surprise of year -scored 29 first scrimmage--

Oh. Powell

Howard seems like a stereotypical jock.

Not bad that on the roster we've got a Georgetown grad (Jeff) and a Stanford grad. Powell will likely play the majority of the season in Portland, but I see him sticking around and becoming a part of the future.

not seeing him in practice and so little game time but have watched his scouting videos and some game films -he will fit into stevens system well if he picks up forward skills-he reminds me of a poor mans aaron gordon-ainge did a super job draft wise getting sullinger ,kelly o,smart  young and adding powell-then add zeller ,thorton, turner -

Most importantly he has a nice release.  If he can hit that jumper in game conditions and toughens up...who knows what his ceiling could be.

I take Stanford a bit more seriously than Georgetown when it comes to athletes. Allen Iverson and Pat Ewings both attended Georgetown (Pat graduated) and neither would be confused with Rhodes Scholars.  Guys like Richard Sherman and Tiger Woods seem much more like student athlete types. I understand that Sherman had a 3.8 or 3.9 GPA at Stanford, that is very impressive.
