Bulls 4th game in 5 nights is a worse team than Dallas and Houston.

Without Rose they are worse anyways.

I think they are being overrated personally (especially without Rose) but either way we caught them in a good position.

With Rondo we would have been better.  That's that.

Not so sure about that tonight, given how well Turner played. With Rondo there Turner wouldn't have had the minutes (32) to put up 19, 5 , and 6. Turner hit that huge baseline shot at the end and then knocked down two crucial free throws. Maybe Rondo does the same, maybe he doesn't.

Last year Rondo was the 32nd ranked point guard in the league in PER.

This year he is ranked 26nd, just ahead of Jerryd Bayless.

Danny, please trade Rondo before the deadline.

The downside to winning? Now we have to put up with this crappy thread for the next 4 days or so.

Can't we just enjoy a freaking win in peace? Thanks.

Enjoying the win. What a great win

Major PG problems tonight in the fourth quarter. We really missed Rondo and Smart in the last 5 minutes. Nice to see we still pulled it out.

The passing was great to see early on, but that never seems to work as well for any team at the end of games.

We were losing last night until Rondo went out of the game.
Then we went on a run and won.

we were collectively weak in the last 6-8 minutes...and Bulls were energized.  It was not a PG issue. there is every chance that Rondo could have made things better...but an equal chance that if rondo was available, we wouldn't have the lead we had.  Cant just say we missed him late when we didn't miss him at all in the 1st three quarters

So, there isn't someone completely biased in this thread.  Nice!

Our PG play hardly won this game for us tonight.  Pressey was bad tonight.  He was a spark last night, but he played poorly tonight.

Going on this premise, Marcus must be a waste of a pick since we won with him being injured. Evan Turner should be starting at PG and Pressey will be an All Star. Rondo has been holding everyone back  ::) Can we enjoy a win without these types of threads? Let me just exercise my right to log out because this is ridiculous.

Year before last we lost six games in a row with Rondo starting.
When Rondo got hurt, we immediately won seven games in a row.

Please don't give Rondo another multi million dollar contract.

+1. Please
+2

Case A in the weakness of correlative data. It's true that if anything was different tonight we would have likely lost. However, Rondo being on the court night in and night out is dearly beneficial, especially compared to Pressey.

Funny that people get so worked up about Rondo. Efficiency with or without him is about the same. Why is it so difficult to imagine that he simply doesn't make as much of a difference on this team as some would believe. Its not a knock on Rondo...its just what it is.

and this is not to compare the team with pressey as a starter. Take most NBA strating PGs and the Celts would do the same or better IMO

I don't think Rondo is worse than Smart or Pressy as a player, nor is he a bad player
it's just he didn't fit into the system(at least so far)
<If you can put 3 HoFs around him he will give you the ring, for example>
and for that you don't give him max contract
so if he want max it's better to trade him when you can

Uh I still like to think that Rondo is a great point guard. On offense, he just needs to reduce the predictable one pass and shoot offense, and trust his teammates' ability to create shots more. The major issue with Rondo in my opinion is his lazy defense. Rondo got the skill and experience to play top notch D, but simply refuses to do so, which baffles me a lot.

Why? Why is it every time the Celtics win without Rondo, threads like these pop up?
