How do you rank the top 10 defensive bigs in the league?  Are there any stats you think measure it effectively like defensive rating or defensive win shares?

Just curious who you think would make the biggest impact if added to the Celtics.  KG was widely considered one of the top defensive bigs in the game... he was the key reason we were a contender.

Joakim Noah brings a ton of energy to his defensive efforts. It rubs off on his team-mates and that is hard to measure, especially on a strong defensive team like the Bulls.

Hope he has a major off-night tonight ;D

1. Marc Gasol
2. Tyson Chandler
3. Dwight Howard
4. Anthony Davis

6. Tim Duncan
7. Serge Ibaka
8. DeAndre Jordan
9. Andrew Bogut
10. Robin Lopez

Honorable mention:  Drummond, Pau Gasol, Gortat, Josh Smith, Taj Gibson

Davis should be number one within a year or two.

Edit:  I guess Asik sorta deserves a mention too.

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels

1. Hibbert
2. Gasol
3. Noah
4. Howard
5. Duncan
6. Ibaka
7. Davis*
8. Bogut
9. Asik
10. Sanders

*Davis is probably in the top 5 now. And Hibbert has baggage but he's leading the NBA in BPG and is second of the top 5 shot blockers in OPP FG%. Last season he was 4th in blocks and first of the top 5 shot blockers in OPP FG%. He was also second in Net DFG% (the difference in % when defended by a certain player).

Obviously if there's one I could have it'd be Davis for all-round potential.
