My worst ankle sprain was stepping on another guys foot .  Foot was blown up huge , couldn't get a shoe on .  It took dang near a year before I felt 100% again. Of course I had no professional help , no PT,  I just hobbled around till it was better. Which was stupid of me , but hey 20 something's aren't the brightest bulbs when it comes to injuries.

He come back quicker with being able to,stay off it ,   I had to go,to work or starve .  Plus trainers and all,the modern PT .  He'll have quicker recovery than average street person.

Sometimes the mental part is the hardest to recover from.   I hope he does not play timid when he comes back as I really like his attitude.   Bound to happen with his playstyle as he collides a lot.   I wish him a speedy recovery.

That is because our recovery does not matter as much as his recovery.  He is a thoroughbred and we are nags and draft horses.  His body is his life and money earner.  Pretty most of use our hands or minds excepting maybe some carpenters.

He is probably my favorite guy to watch this year because of his intensity.

hope it's not a level 3 tear.  had that myself at his age and took 6 weeks for the swelling to go away and about 8 to be completely healed.  of course I didn't completely follow doctor's orders by staying completely off it so it probably didn't heal as quickly as it should have

i posted a short time ago fears of injuries playing with so much pace and intensity on defense-reminds me of jeff goldbloom in jurasic park with t-rex bearing down he says "i hate being right"-this severity of this injury  and lingering tenderness throws your shot off while you favor it and when you get better you have to re adjust-lateral quickness in his case is essential--marcus played all summer and then in las vegas a break might do him good in that respect
