This isnt a trade Rondo thread, its just a Phil Pressy thread.  Guy waits 5 games to see the floor and gets us a win.

Press did ok tonight.   He came in during a moment of turmoil and helped refocus the offense

Kudos for the kid ....to come in cold in a awful situation.

We couldn't stop them .........two power forwards against a monster sized 7 '2 " center

But , we could out score them .....only way we had a chance.

+1. I applaud Stevens leaving Pressey out for a long time.  He should of just kept him out there.

Pressy changed the momentum halfway into the third quarter tonight and brought us back from the dead. He was +8 in just 5 minutes , getting 4 assist and 5 points I'm 13 total minutes.

More importantly we were up 5 points with 3 minutes to go when Rondo came back in.
puke

Mad we won?
Phil would never play on a good team.

Phil would never play on a good team.

He played with 100% hustle after being benched for 5 games and ultimately helped us win the game. What's not to like about it? Can't we just applaud the performance and set the stupid fanboy war aside?

I think KeepRondo rather see Rondo with a Triple Double than the team winning. Especially assisted by "that Pressey"

It's like that here with some fans.

naw. The team comes 1st. It sounds like for you, Rondo comes 1st the way you relentlessly defend him when he deserves to shoulder some of the blame. Especially with how much time he has the ball in his hands and the responsibility he has to guard probably the most important player on the court

And yes if Pressey does better out on the floor and gives the team the best chance to win, then he should start. If another bench player outperforms Jeff Green and any other starters and gives us the best chance to win, they should start

Can we agree that Pressey should get any backup PG minutes that are currently being given to Evan Turner?

Yes but dont bench Turner, use him as an elbow shooter. Keep it simple for him, he was money from there tonight.

With Marcus down most certainly going to see a lot more of Pressy in the next few weeks.

Dude you really need to stop putting words in other peoples mouths.   It is embarrassing and silly.  You are moving from annoying territory to outright trolling and being disrespectful to everyone that doesn't share your 'opinions'.

I like pressey, he hustles and tries hard, and was a spark tonight...but so was Bass, Turner, and Zellar.  If you would have been in the celtic chat room you would have known that I was rooting for him.  So were all of us.  Everyone here wants the celtics to win.  Do you not realize that?  Unfortunately, you are so full of your own dislike for Rondo it colors every single thing you say on here and the way you perceive every single reply from anyone.  It is seriously comical.

I want the celtics to win.  But if you think pressey playing over Rondo is going to equal a lot of wins for us this year, then you seriously need to get a grip.  So if you are all about the 'team', then you should probably want our best player out there making plays and helping us get wins.

Yes. But that has more to do with how awful Evan Turner is than anything to do with Pressey.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
