At the very least, will put a smile on your face.

If this ever happens, they'd have to create a statue of Mark Wahlberg outside the Garden right next to Red's

Lol, TP ;D.  Drake couldn't even stay a fan of Kentucky through the NCAA title game.  He came in wearing their uniform, but had switched by the end of the night to a UCONN jersey.  Seriously, bro, quit playin' for the other team all and whatnot - shoe ;D.

Been going back and forth with my brother, who's pessimistic about our chances, about this and this is the gist of what I said:

Outside of OKC and Washington, Durant is going to be looking for money, market and surrounding talent in some order. We have all three. We should have plenty of cap space that summer. Market-wise we're not on the level of LAL (no surrounding talent), NYK (if they have the space to sign him that probably means they suck, if they have the surrounding talent to entice him that probably means they have no space) or Chicago (unlikely to have cap space), but I don't see why Boston is not only the level of Miami, Golden State, Brooklyn (bigger city but it's owned by the Knicks), Dallas or Houston. The Red Sox and Pats are constantly disproving this theory that Boston isn't an FA destination and IIRC KG had to pull some strings in order to come here. The problem has been the rarity of the Celtics having major cap space whenever one of these talents reaches the free agent market.

As for surrounding talent, we've got Smart, Young, Sully, Oly, and Bradley, plus whatever we figure to get for Rondo and Green. Laugh at the inclusion of Sully, Oly and Bradley but that five-man squad is already a heck of a lot more than LAL and Brooklyn figure to have when they make an offer to Durant. Then we have another lotto pick coming this year (getting Okafor or Towns would really help in landing Durant) and three Brooklyn picks, all of which have serious lotto potential.

It would be foolish to say that this story really means anything. But on the subject of Durant's attraction to Boston, I don't see why it's outrageous to suggest that we'll be a competitive suitor right behind OKC and Washington. We'll have a lot of money, a second tier market, good surrounding talent, a championship history and a respected front office. We also seem to have a coach that players love.

Smart, Young, Durant, Sully, Okafor with Bradley + 2015 LAC 1st/2016 CLE 1st/2016/'18 BOS 1st/2016/'18 BKN 1st/2017 better of BOS/BKN 1sts/return for Rondo + Green to round out the bench. Whew.

OK, I'm done rationalizing this crazy dream.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Can't wait for Toronto to be irrelevant again so we can stop hearing about him.

Not if Nicki Minaj is giving him a lap dance ;D.  I like how he started to stand up at the end of that sex tape, I mean music video, and then stopped himself from looking like Pinocchio below the belt lol by sitting his ace down ;) ;D.  Didn't it take him 10 years to graduate high school?  The thing that annoys me about Drake is that he doesn't have a last name in his stage title, so when someone first mentioned him, I thought they were talking about the only Drake I'd ever heard of - Sir Francis Drake ;D.  Screw it, I'm too white for this **** lol ;D.

I just don't see any way that he'd come here, but I will say this - forget Sully, Young, and Bradley, etc., the reason he should want to come here is Rondo.  Can you imagine how many points KD would average with Rondo setting him up?  That would be ridiculous.  I'd say he could average between 35-40 a night, especially if he's already been able to lead the league in scoring for a number of years despite playing with that ball hog named Westbrook ;D.

I'm still not sure that it's not Drake Bell from Drake and Josh (iCarly's brother before she became iCarly). Ridiculous that I know this - even more ridiculous that I'm im my mid-30s.

Anyway, any effort to bring KD to Boston is a positive one in my book.
