Hey Guys,

I know everyone is ready to jump off the bandwagon. But i am calling it now:

We are making the playoffs. There, I said it.

Our offense is 100xs better than last year, same can be said for our defense.

Rondo is still getting comfortable, and his shooting will come.

Stevens has these guys well prepared, and we will be ok.

If you want to jump off now go ahead, but dont come back when we make the playoffs!

I think once the rotation is stabilized...Zeller STARTING & Evan Turnover benched for Wallace....you will see the wins start piling up....well, at least more wins than most expect.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I appreciate the optimism but our bad defense is reason for concern.

Also I worry that our schedule is so hard we will be buried by the end of November.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Here are all things that are true:

1.) We're hanging in close games against top level playoff teams right now with a bunch of inexperienced players

2.) We got Marcus Smart, James Young, Thorton and Zeller over the off season, so we're better than we were last year

3.) We have a ton of assets and a healthy star that everyone in the league likes both as someone to play with and as a person (Rondo), which really increases our chances of getting another big piece

4.) If we win a bunch of games, our guys get great experience, they will be more seasoned for next year and the team will be more attractive to big name players

5.) If we lose a bunch of games, our guys will still get decent experience and we'll get another really good player out of the draft

I would take our position over half the playoff caliber teams right now, because we are setting ourselves up to be relevant for a long time.  Young and Smart were the right picks for us

Smart yes, have not seen enough Young besides preseason and garbage time vs the Rox.

I like what I've seen so far. In particular, Rondo looks like he's back and Jeff Green looks aggressive.

Bradley and Smart are off the charts with the hustle plays. Unfortunately, Smart got stolen in the clutch last night but he hit that huge 3 to tie it before that. This duo has serious firepower.

Oly, Sully, Zeller lack that something on D but are pretty strong on O and the boards. It's been a positive 1-3 start so far. Shoulda beat the Raps.

you know the way turner has been playing that isn't a crazy idea, wallace might have no outside game but he's an excellent defender, has size, is a good passer and fills the lanes

Team's improved.  Still need a center who can defend and someone who can create his own shot with the game on the line the way Pierce did.  Hoping that guy is on the current roster.

That was my mindset entering the season, and it hasn't changed - though granted Turner hasn't looked good and I was hoping he could/can possibly morph into that guy.

Our Schedule looks much easier than it did when the schedules come out. We get to play OKC without Durant or Westbrook (and most likely others), Get indiana with their whole team missing, get a Cleveland team that is really struggling to find its' identity and has the same record as us, plus maybe get bulls with rose already out. We will definitely lose our share of those, but certainly easier than it looked at beginning of season.

I see it more of an opportunity missed. We could easily be 3-1 and really should be 2-2.

Point Being is we have played ELITE teams so far. We ARE NOT an elite team. We are, a playoff team though in the east. And have hung in there pretty well.

Also, I really wish James Young would get some run instead of Turner. And a few more minutes for Zeller instead of Olynyk.

We are pretty good though guys trust me on this.

Pierce was a top guy in the league at that. You might be expecting too much. That is essentially saying we need a guy who will be the best guy on the team.

Small sample size positive stats.

vs Rest of League:
1st in league in Rebound %
1st in Offensive Rebound %
3rd in Defensive Rebound %
3rd in Pace
9th in Offensive Efficiency
8th in Assist Ratio (plays ending with an assist)
3rd in PPG
8th in FG%
3rd in APG
6th in RPG
3rd in OPPRPG
9th in FT%
1st in Points in the Paint

Doesnt mean much but so far our offense is good at least. If we're gonna win games this year it will probably be from out gunning the other team, and nothing related to defense.
