I hope Brad adjusts the starting line-up and starts Zeller.

I love Kelly but my subjective eye test tells Zeller is a better defender (especially in P&R) right now.

Tyler has a reliable 18-footer, so spacing would not be such an issue. The chemistry with Rondo on the P&R is also obvious.

That would bring a 2nd unit of Smart, Thornton, Turner, Bass and Kelly. I think Kelly's offensive versatility will be better suited in that unit. His D will also be less exposed against 2nd units.

Sounds like an experiment worth trying.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing....we need size to start the game... 7 footer KO is a Small Forward really....Sully and Zeller up front would probably work better.

Rondo
Bradley
Green
Sullinger
Zeller.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Zeller, right now, is the ONLY Center on this team! His instincts on P&R's is amazing, and he has great rapport with both Rondo and ET.
KO is a hot mess!  He's still playing like he's a non shooting seven foot point guard!  Until he starts playing as a man with a seven foot body, he'll never come near reaching his potential.  Unfortunately, trade bait!

Ultimately I think KO is going to be best suited for a super sub role. On a playoff caliber team he needs to be the 3rd big. His offensive versatility will be a great asset with a second unit and at the end of games. If Sully and KO are part of the Cs future they need that defensive 3rd player in the rotation. For the time being the Cs maybe best suited using Zeller as a lower min stater and Ko as a high minutes 3rd big.

Bass needs to be moved to a team that can utilize him. He is currently redundant on this roster and DA should find a better fit for him while at least bringing in a younger player. I still would love to see a Bass for Biyombo based trade (Bass for Biyombo and Taylor works, then cut taylor).

Every game I watch it makes me disgusted that Danny Ainge passed on the elite superstar potential of the Greek Freak for someone who projects as a backup big man.

I agree, start Zeller.  However, I still like Kelly and I think he will develop into a pretty good player for us.

Zeller needs to play 25 minutes a game...This is the same thing they did to him in Cleveland...Wouldn't give him much playing time...He could be very productive if they would just give him the opportunity to do so...

I actually like Kelly a lot. I think the potential and the options he sees and has on court will slow down his development a bit. He will learn to react faster and be more assertive with the time, I am sure. He will also grow into his body and be a better defender in time.

Zeller's job is so much clearer as his skill set is very specific. A prototypical center.

The Greek Freak doesn't look like he has improved at all since he was drafted.  Great tools, but good at nothing as of yet.

TP! Count me in the Zeller fan club as well his chemistry with Rondo is a beautiful thing to behold. I'm not so sure we should give up on KO completely  coming off the bench for the foreseeable future is a decision BS has to seriusly consider.

So this is a thread for people who want us to lose, right?

C's fans do love their backup centers something fierce I guess.

I'm not adverse to him starting, but I don't think it he's shown us much in his limited minutes to justify starting either.

The Start Zeller Movement, a.k.a. we can't possibly get any worse in paint defense anyhow :)

I really like Zeller, but I'm not convinced that he is of more value as a starter than KO.  I like that KO is capable of hitting an outside shot -- something of a need given our starting lineup options.  On the other hand, if KO doesn't break out and use those shooting skills, I'll be more convinced that TZ should get the nod.  I think Zeller moves better/quicker inside and has firmer hands on the ball.  But TZ starting leaves us with mercurial JG and AB as the only outside threats.

I'm in full agreement I think Zeller should be moved into the starting lineup to help round out a more cohesive unit.
