He has already had a game where he played 30 minutes

He can score all he wants , and shoot all he wants on this TANK CITY team, but its all a farce.

and came up with NO STATS other than points. 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks

When they blew out Brooklyn , his +/- was -4

He has 1 assist this year.

I know its only 2 and a half games, but its getting to be a habit.

I do not expect him to be Paul Pierce, but he is a liability on the court if you want to be a true contender

playing 30 minutes and getting 1 rebound or 1 assist is sad.

Nerlens Noel has one rebound in 30 minutes of action tonight. And he's seven feet tall!

It's an anomaly. He is not Roy Hibbert. Nerlens is going to be good. He had 6 steals though. Still averaging 8.0 rebounds a game with this 1 rebound dud.

Oh, so it's not sad when Noel does it, but it is when a shooting guard doesn't get rebounds or assists?

Update: Bradley currently leading his team tonight in rebounds.

Bradley is almost universally hated on these boards.  I doubt you'd find many who'd call him "overrated".

This is Noel's first season. He already has 2 10 rebound games, and 2 3 block games

hes doing just fine.

This forum is absurd. It's like 50 Tanguays and 50 Heinsohns fighting to the death. There's no in between.

He's only overrated if you have unrealistic expectations of him. He's a starting-level player with room to grow (23 years old). In his prime he should be an above average starting-level player and it is reasonable to suggest that he has the potential to make the All-Star team 2-3x. The ticket is being able to score 15 a game (14.9 ppg last year while), shoot 35% from three (also accomplished last year) and play league-wide praised defense (see second year) all at the same time.

Have a cup of tea, get a massage, take deep breaths. We're starting to sound like Red Sox fans.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

There's actually a lot of moderate, reasoned opinions on here, they just tend to get washed out by the ridiculous posts and people making fun of them.

I think he must have read this.  It's definitely time to keep calling him over-rated.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He will never make an all star team.

For 2 reasons...

He will never be able to score enough.

He will never be on a good team to be considered or recognized
--

He is not All Star material. He is a good player who can start...Kind of like Tony Allen

In the right scheme, on the right type of team , he may be able to start.

I do not doubt he can be a starter on some mediocre teams out there.

If he was 2 or 3 inches taller I would have higher hopes for him.

And that explains why you use the term overrated.  Your expectations are extremely unrealistic.  Nobody expects AB to be an all-star.

So you have low expectations and think he's overrated?

You're still wrong though. At 23 he's shown all the individual characteristics of a borderline (2-3x) All-Star. It's reasonable to hope that with 4-5 years left until he reaches his prime that he can find a way to put it all together. 15 ppg on 45/35/75 shooting accompanied by star-level defense is good enough to be considered a borderline All Star.

If he can't put it all together, and only makes marginal improvements, he'laid still be an above-average starter. No one expects him to be anything more.
