Gerald Henderson is the filler guy.

 Bobcats can win now with

 Kemba Walker
 Lance Stevenson
 Jeff Green
 Brandon Bass\ Mavrin Williams
 Al Jefferson

Thats team is maybe a 50 win team right there. You give up early on Vonleh who may be Chris Bosh in 4 years, or he may be Jujuan Johnson, But MKG still can't shoot and has been a disappointment. To bring in Green with his shooting and spacing the floor for Big AL and Kemba would be big for them.

Heck we could even send then Tyler Zeller to play with brother Cody. Tell me which way the trade is lopsided in your opinion.

Vonleh at one point was a potential top 7 pick. I don't think the Hornets give two prospects up for 1 year rental on Bass or Green. Plus MKG is a huge reason for their amazing defense.

You have not been watching MKG since the offseason if you think he still can't shoot.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
You're undervaluing Vonleh and MKG way too much :(
They would see Green and Bass as expiring fillers and then at the end of this season they have no Vonleh and MKG...would you make that deal?

But yeah, you'd need WAY more than just Green and Bass.
Start with something like:

2015 Clippers pick +
2016 Cavs pick +
James Young +
Bass +
Green.

You could take out the Clippers pick and offer Avery Bradley but they'd still probably say no.

As Endless Paradise said, MKG has been shooting better and playing very well for them this season so far. He had one stretch vs New York where he chased down three fast break layup attempts and stopped every player (including Carmelo, Shumpert and Larkin) from scoring.
He's an excellent defender and very good in transition.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't think that Charlotte would even consider this deal without some sweetening by the Celtics. The question is what to add to the deal on our side? The first guy that they would reasonably ask for is Young and he is too intriguing to move in this kind of deal. They would also want our Clippers pick and one Brooklyn pick. Even all of these assets might not get them to bite. This trade proposal doesn't seem to me to be a good fit for both teams. I just don't think Green and Bass have a great deal of market value.

This. I'm a huge advocate of MKG. I believe he's the perfect SF defensively in CBS system. Hustling, helping on D, and getting back to defend is the perfect answer to the notes Stevens wrote out if the locker-room.

But unfortunately like I said MKG still has value same for Vonleh. Do the Hornets want to overpay for Green if he opts out for a better contract. Usually, when teams make a win now move its unless its in the absolute realm of necessity. The Hornets look good right now, and MKG hit plenty of mid range shots and has been a monster on the fast break.

I wish we got him. We may be the worst shooting team, but at least we would have the best perimeter D in the league.

Could you at least try and propose a somewhat feasible trade? I don't think they would take Green and Bass for a conditional 2nd round pick, you must realize how terrible Green and Bass are right? Do you watch the games?
