  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Did anyone else catch that part of the telecast where one of the announcers said that Rondo went  to shoot around on Saturday morning with Jason Terry?

Is this common for players from opposing teams (the day of a game where they're about to play each other) to go and shoot together before a game? I understand that Terry played with Rondo here and they must be decent buddies- but it seems strange to me considering the media are looking for any little piece like this to get the 'Rondo's leaving Boston for Houston' rumors- as they are one of the more suitable destinations looking for that third star player.

Scalabrine repeated the statement "he went to shoot around with Jason Terry?" to question its validity and his tone suggested it was unexpected.

Could Terry have been trying to swoon Rondo to Houston or acting as the go-between?
If there were any players from the Rockets there with them, I wonder who?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

They're just friends.

And the last thing Harden wants to do is give up the ball right now.  And I don't even think he's wrong.  He was very impressive last night and is playing pretty out of his mind.

"Clearly everyone hates Rondo and never want to play with him because he's a jerk. This was not friendly, it was clearly a scheduled fight to the death that Rondo chickened out of. How about that from your captain, folks?"

Rondo is trying to decide which team he will sign with after the season.

When last I looked, he lives in America.   If the team didn't have an activity schedules he should be able to do what he wants.

Maybe Rondo beat Terry in a game of HORSE with $25,000 on the line.

well, actually, as far as getting food with those you choose, just about everyplace on earth allows some variation of that. though, of course, i guess we couldnt choose to have dinner with rondo and terry even if we wanted to do so.

No, went to the Rockets stadium with Jason Terry -who plays on the team you are playing that night- to shoot/get shots up.
I'm wondering if Pierce or KG have ever gone to shoot around before a game with a player on another team- particularly the team they're playing that day...I doubt it.

Or went to the stadium (an accessible facility) and Terry was there as well. Or should Rondo never visit a stadium to get shots up?

Being made more of a deal than it needs to be. But conspiracy!

Seriously this is getting ridiculous if Rondo leaves in free agency wouldn't even blame him
