How long before Bradley replaced Allen?...took awhile right?.

Young is what he is...young so replacing anyone inthe starting five, let alone in the rotation will be a loooong process, lets let him play and crack the normal rotation first before anointing him the next james harden. Or something. ???

I think you are way more likely to see Young starting at SF next to Bradley than to see him replace Bradley at SG.  And highly unlikely to see that this season.

My guess is 2-3 seasons from now, if you're lucky.

Bradley was our second best player last year (third best at worst) and as of now James Young is not even top 10 among our rotation.

Until Young has developed to the point where he is one of the top 3 players on the team, he's not replacing AB.

I think you are more likely see to later in the season marcus thornton being traded to a contender who needs an offensive weapon and those rotation minutes being Young's.  I do like the work effort and shooting of thornton but package him with bass and a draft pick or 2 should bring back something.  Young has the same offensive polish as thornton just needs experience.  Very good pick by Ainge.  Bradley does need to up his defensive game.

Bradley was just hosed good .  He is too short to cover the 6 5" players.

I think it should happen immediately but it won't happen. AB will be the starter for 2 more yr's at least, then he'll get traded....if he hasn't gotten completely exposed as the fool's gold that he is.

Until he learns to defend properly.

One game didn't change Avery Bradley.  Harden is going to torch a lot of players this year.

I think you're pretty much right. I'd give Young 10-15 minutes a night right off, and have him playing 20-25 minutes within 4 to 6 weeks. I don't want to see them playing him at the 3, at least while he's too young to have the strength to go up against the bigger SFs.

James has shown that at minimum he needs 20mpg. Hopefully there is a trade looming to free up some space.

I say this be cause  we should be developing these players. Also I would have put James in the game earlier to end our horrible streak from 3.

I could definitely see James Young supplanting Chris Babb up in Maine at some point this season.

Second or third best player on a 25 win team is hardly a resume builder.

all these rotation decisions are being based upon a 3-3 effort by young, in his first nba game ever? really?

geez, even by the standards here at CB this is one boatload of over reaction.

keep in mind the tone and expectations of many posters after the celtics won game 1 against brooklyn. the raves about the celtics offense, playoff bound, etc. all gone after game 2. what will game 3 bring?

one good game does not a season make, nor does one putrid game. rondo truly was poor last night in his passing and shooting and scoring and +/-. do i hear cries to replace him? or do we simply rack it up as a down game and place it within a larger history, and move on knowing that he will improve over this particular performance?

bradley has proven he is a starter in the nba and he knows the celtics plays already. stevens will keep him over young for a while yet.

let's calm down a tad here.
