With their stacked lineup in big men, it not surprising. Jazz already signed Gobert and Favors, Kanter is the odd man out. Maybe the Jazz is planning to trade him in the deadline.

How can we get him and what cost? Is he worthy enough to throw some first rounders for him?

The reason Kanters is on the block, because he has been extremely hard to develop and gets benched regularly due to his lack luster defense.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Despite the money thrown at Favors, Hayward, and Burk they still have a lot of money to play with.  If Utah doesn't want him there is a good reason for it.

I'd rather have KO than Kantor.   He is more famous for not playing ball when at KY than anything in the NBA.  He is lazy as they come.

This.  He's a more offensive-minded center who optimally needs to be paired with a defensive PF.  The Jazz were hoping to have Favors be that PF, but they've since decided he's more effective as a center, leaving Kanter playing out of his role as a stretch 4.

Kanter would probably be great alongside Larry Sanders.

Never seen him play like you would think he could.

His effort reminds me of Fab Melo......somewhat better.

Weak effort

i don't want kanter at all because he is not a rim protector. he plays defense a bit better then olynyk however olynyk scores, blocks and rebounds better. I would not want him for free because he would take time away from sully and olynyk.

Sully is not a center and should not be playing center and guarding guys like Dwight Howard. If not Kanter, then we need someone else out there to allow us to play Sully at PF.

I look at it this way: If the Jazz don't want him, we probably don't want him, either.

I used to be high on him, but not anymore. Probably not worth whatever Utah wants.

considering the state of Utah's team, this move should set off warning bells to all those that have been clamoring to trade everything but the kitchen sink for this guy

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
The Jazz should have traded Kanter two years ago - they already had their future big men in place and now his value has plummeted. They would be lucky to get a guy like Bradley for him. His career path is not looking all that strong.
