Looks like Rondo was a big help for the Mavs against LeBron tonight ......wow ...what a beat down of a supposed contender . ....contending for what is the question.

Does anyone want to apologize to Larbrd33 for calling him crazy when he said the Rondo trade will make Dallas worse?

He was right

No he wasn't I don't think they wouldn't beat the Cavs with the Jameer, Wright and Crowder. I just love how people are continuing to beat up on Rondo.

It also further disgruntles Monroe.  We host them in a couple weeks, hopefully we make everything super nice for the opposing team Mark Cuban style

It depends on what you think he was right about. The Mavericks got off to a crazy start offensively -- like, a disgusting, record-setting start. Like a standard deviation above an efficient, high scoring team start (probably not that high, but you get the point) They were always going to regress. Rondo isn't the sole reason they stopped lighting the league on fire, because it was inevitably going to happen. It's the same way the Knicks with Carmelo at the 4 went totally nuts a few years ago and finished with 54 wins. They cooled down. Everyone cools down.

If you think that gutting their depth and potential offense for an upgrade at point guard (and a defensive upgrade in a playoff rotation) was a mistake, then that's a fair opinion, and if that's what you think he was saying, he looks to be correct. Rondo's certainly played pretty poorly this year, and I'm sure Cuban is p---ed.

True.....but Rondo sucks nearly every game these days. Last night was really telling against the type of high level competition is is EXPECTED to play against nearly every game out west.

If he is so great as you still imagine or dream of ..then why doesn't he step up and play like a star ......because he can't anymore is the correct answer.

I see no reason to keep,Rondo on the Mavs , unless it's really cheapo friendly contract.   He is a fancy shiney stone to look at that doesn't do much .

Reggie Jackson looks TERRIBLE so far in Detroit.  1-9 with 5 turnovers and a team-high -22 with Lin and Clarkson checking him.

In news from the MavTanic, Amar'e is already calling out his teammates:

"We can't cheat the game. We can't screw around in games and practices and joke around all the time and figure we're going to win games. This is the pros. It's the highest level of basketball. We've got to act that way."

I love rondo and everything he's done for us to win in the past, but there is no way, as of right now, that rondo is making that mavs team better than what they were before he got there

As opposed to his tenure on the Knicks.

Ehhh, depends on if we want the Mavs pick this season. It's not likely either will slip out at this point but we are guaranteed the Clips pick already, we should root for the Mavs to slip out especially since they have been terrible of late... gets us 3 1st rnd picks (2 lotto if we miss playoffs) this season instead of our guaranteed 2.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Should Memphis be fined for sitting out three of their key players tonight against the Wizards in a nationally televised game?  Conley is out with injury.  Gasol, Randolph, and Tony Allen are DNPs for rest.

Recall that San Antonio got fined for resting key starters against Miami in a nationally televised game.  It would be a double standard not to fine Memphis, and if I was a member of the Spurs organization, I'd be disgruntled if they weren't fined by the league.
