Man, does it look like the Spurs are finally done? They've lost to elite teams like the Clippers and Warriors. And their record doesn't seem to reflect who they are as defending champions.

I'd thought they at least be a 4 or 5 seed while fighting for the #1 seed but shoot they are a #7 seed.

Manu is washed up .  To many little injuries and age .   Duncan slowed a tad .....same with Parker ....they all are showing mileage that won't let them fight with likes of Lillard, Irving, Griffin , Westbrook.etc .....star players is their younger prime .

Mavs and Spurs ....have age and mileage working against them ..

Yes they do which is why their minutes are managed during the regular season.  The Spurs aren't looking to maximize their regular season wins.  Even so, they are only 2 games out of 3rd in the West.  Assuming they are uninjured and semi-rested, the Spurs will still be a significant threat come playoff time.

I think Memphis and Golden State are now the two top teams in the Western Conference.

They have overtaken the Spurs and Thunder.

Oklahoma playing

PG: DJ Augustin
SG: Dion Waiters
SF: Russell Westbrook

No Durant today. I wonder if this is just a one game thing or if it'll be something OKC uses going forward while Durant rests. Get extra shooting, ball-handling and playmaking on the floor.

I like the look of Enes Kanter + Serge Ibaka together on offense. Big Al having his way with Kanter on the other end of the floor right now though.

I love how Kanter attacks the offensive boards. It's a lot of fun to see Ibaka + Kanter attack offensive boards together. I hope Ibaka gets to play closer to basket now. Hate seeing him waste away 23 feet from the basket looking for a three pointer. Let those two guys attack offensive glass together and they'll create lots of extra possessions for OKC.

The Knicks somehow have more white guys simultaneously on the court than I even thought were in the NBA in total  ???

I am loving Kanter on the Thunder. He is great for their offense. More space, more movement. Can shoot, can drive, can post up, hits the offensive glass, runs the floor. Active.

I think Kanter has energized Ibaka (offensively) too. Ibaka is no longer stuck standing around on the perimeter while Adams sets screens and rolls to the basket. More involved. More aggressive. Getting touches. Making cuts. This is the Ibaka I want to see.

Enes Kanter should definetly be resigned by the Thunder this offseason. Thanks Jazz!

I love the way Kanter attacks offensive glass. You can tell he loves playing with Westbrook and how much attention Westbrook commands from help defenders. Frees up a path right to the basket for Kanter to attack and win offensive rebounds. I think opposing centers are going to gradually become much more hesitant in leaving Kanter to help on Westbrook's dribble penetration because of how good Kanter is as an offensive rebounder.

One of my favourite offensive rebounders in the league.

Can't see how they wouldn't.  They wanted to re-sign Reggie for $48 million/4 years, I'd imagine they could offer a similar contract to Kanter and get him to accept.

Perk signed with the Cavs. Wonder if there'll be any blowback from the people who get upset about those sorts of things.

Motiejunas vs Pekovic

Fun to see these two battle each other in the paint. Nice matchup of quickness and agility vs strength and power in the low post.

Gobert wreaking havoc on Duncan and the Spurs. Intimidating everything that comes near the basket. 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals. The first quarter isn't even over yet.

Gobert = next Mutombo.

Where does he play, though? Does he move Adams to the bench, or does he come off the bench? I like Adams as the big defensive-minded starter for them.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

If people on this site keeps telling people to temper their excitement on their young players, I suggest we'd do the same to the other teams players.

That being said, I really like Gobert.
