It's funny how the Dallas fans are now arguing over Rondo. 2 games in and they're already complaining about his shooting, scoring, defense, and holding the ball. It's like bizarro world from Seinfield, all they need is a BballJim to start making ridiculous posts and bring up things that happened from 2012 and older.

And all that's left is to have people make hyperbolic statements on how rondo is useless and he is now the Reggie Evans of point guards

That would be awesome too although I wouldn't call Rondo useless. He's a great passer who's allergic to hitting shots.

Rondo singlehandidly dividing fanbases as already the infighting has started between those blaming him and protecting him.

Mavs commentators were gushing over his highlight plays (bounce passes, steals) and completely ignored his awful defense on Schroder.

The same Rondo we've always known, the highs and the lows.

Or the pathetic interior defense sans Chandler that caused Schroeder to go off

Rondo staying in front of his man?  Puts lots of pressure on players behind him.

They played off him as a non-shooter, going under picks consistently. Ideally your big man then corrals him from a straight line drive, which Dirk/Tyson didn't do at all.

Rondo could have done better of course, but when you're getting picked at the three point line and the big can't do anything to impede him at all what can you say? Just poor defensive effort all around, but Atlanta will do that to you.

The way RR played in this 4th has me a little p---ed. It has nothing to do with the great players Dallas has either b/c they were a NO SHOW! RR was doing everything in the 4th pretty much single-handed, he was trying to will that victory and almost did!

I'm seriously p---ed at the 4th quarter efforts he gave this season for us. No way in hell you give us p--- poor effort in the 4th almost all of our games and all of a sudden find your 4th Q game/effort 3 days in Dallas.

Nah, frick that, here I was defending you and hating the trade when all the while you were coasting until we shipped you out, while all of our young guys had to follow you? COMPLETE BS!

It's not just the fourth quarters, either. He's looked much more aggressive and energetic throughout the two games, and his defense has been vastly improved in Dallas. It's fairly evident that his motivation and effort in Boston the last two seasons was lackluster in comparison to what he's shown in Dallas so far.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

He wasn't trying ...he wasn't stay n.........Danny figured every game Rondo diddled way in front  of the young players was no good for rebuilding moral and was probably driving Stevens nuts to boot. He wanted him gone as bad as Rondo wanted to leave I believe.  Thus the give away.

What's the team suppose think , when your capt is not half trying , playing like a moron.

Btw ......making Rondo capt . Was a JOKE

Andrew Wiggins with 27 points against LeBron's Cavs. Nice to see young player having big game against top opponents. Good sign.

Sixers just erased a 23-point first half deficit to win against the Heat in Miami.

Disgrace, embarrassment, mockery.

The Rondo era Mavs are down by 15 against the Suns in the 3rd quarter so far. Dragic is torching the Mavs backourt. Welcome to the WC Rondo.

Rondo and Chandler have more points than Dirk and Monta.

Ellis has the worst +/- at -18. He's 3-13. He was also the one on Dragic. I say this to possibly avert any irrational Rondo reactions, but it is interesting that they're getting blown out in their second straight game. Might be indicative of future issues, might not be. Whatever it is..Dallas need to figure it out.

Neither Monta nor Rondo are good defenders. That backcourt was born to be abused.

I feel that Monta is an underrated defender and while Rondo is inconsistent at times, he still does a good job.

It's the result of the strategy that was used effectively against the celtics in the KG-Pierce-Ray era when both Rondo and Perk were on the floor together. When you have two non-shooters out there with 3 great scorers, you cheat off the two non-shooters and force them to beat you. It's working tonight for the Suns.
