We all know the arguments.
Keep Rondo- he is our best player, the only one with a ring, and he will facilitate he acquisition of another All Star level player.
Get rid of him- he is taking away minutes from Smart, we can trade him for a good center, he will be gone as soon as his contract expires anyway.
So, take a stance now.

Incorrect. For all the hype about trading Rondo for a good Center, how come we haven't directly heard about this..

Obviously if you can't lure Allstars or the playoffs/great offseason doesn't look too bright, then its only good business to get something for Rondo.

For all the hate Cbloggers give, you'd be surprised at how readily/open minded other team fans are at getting Rondo.

I posted a thread of a notorious Rondo hater, (will not say any names,) in a Lakers blog, and everyone chastised him unanimously stating if the Celtics didn't want Rondo, they certainly do.

Rondo isn't a player that can take over games by himself. But hes a player who can assist a player who can into a better position..

Like I said 29 other GM's would like to bring in Rondo over Smart any day...

I voted for Rondo. IMHO it's a no-brainer.

When Rondo comes back, he's the guy.  Veteran, established PG or promising rookie?  I'm going with the established former all star PG.

Keep both, though.  I see no reason to move either.

You'd still have the anti-Rondo camp putting up a fuss no matter what.  Rationality goes out the window where there's an ax to grind.  As you see from some posters on here nearly day in & day out.

Here is the thing.

People can make a point for wanting Rondo to move on. I am one of those, but not for reasons listed here..

I think it might be time just because im viewing it from his perspective and he might want. What might get him more legacy. The guy should be in a winning environment now. Not a rebuild.

But I know who Rondo is and how good he is.

People want to compare him already to Smart...its ridiculous.

When Smart has an off night or may not look as stellar against a top team will there be "He's a bust" threads? Because it seems like we go from one extreme to the next on here..lol. I remember when some people were super enthused about Pressey taking over the pg spot last season. I'm just enjoying seeing what Smart can be. I'm not trying to put him in comparisons, especially during PRE-SEASON.

Rondo was the 29th ranked point guard in the league last year.

He is not the player he once was.....

Haha. This hilarious. You're point to bash Rondo is to compare his last years season with the rest of the PG's in the league?....Where he played...30 games....coming off a major injury?

Sweet. Derrick Rose isn't even on the list?!! He should be exiled to play overseas ball for the rest of his paltry career.

I would expect that, considering he played 30 games coming back from a knee injury. Please lets not act like that doesn't play a factor. He's in the same boat with Rose, we have to see how well he can play healthy without restrictions (i.e no back to backs, no knee brace).

When healthy Rondo has shown to be the better player right now. Once Rondo comes back I would bring Smart off the bench, bringing him along slowly. Learning under Rondo can only help Smart.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Smart has a few things he needs to learn, understand in the offensive end. Defensively , he is already better than half the players in the league
