No we are not going to get crushed. As long as Rondo is out, we will have an actual chance to win games and play solid individual/team D

If we are to discuss this seriously...

... the situation is not so bad as it looks.
-the first month is typically full of surprises (remember Miami-Boston last year?)
-we know how SAS, Dallas, Portland play but they know very little about our players and systems (especially with Rondo absent)
- at the very worst, we ll still get a couple of victories. We are the favourite against Philly and we have a fair chance against Indiana, Brooklyn, Memphis, and Phoenix.
My guess is we ll get at least four victories in these fourteen games

The November schedule scared me at first..really thought it could potentially de-rail the Celtics season...then once Rondo got hurt, I became even more scared, heh. That schedule scares me mainly because I'm unsure whether the team could recover mentally from starting really, really poorly.

I hope I'm wrong.

I'm as pessimistic as you are, except I'm not really fretting about it.  There's upside to most any regular season outcome from my perspective. If we crash and burn that still leaves monitoring the youth's progression, rooting for the Clipp's to lose, daydreaming on NBA Draftnet, and tracking how many ping pong balls we'll be getting.

That said I'd still like to see us claw our way up to a 7 or 8 seed, ideally. Bring on the "treadmill team" status. The best player Ainge has drafted came after the treadmilliest of season's.

I have us with 7 wins during that stretch.

Brooklyn
Toronto
Indiana
Phoenix
Philly
Memphis
Portland

It's a team game and although we won't be hitting on all cylinders then, neither will anybody else.  We can beat those 7 teams at home or away.  The talent is here to beat them, & the right coach is here as well.  The toughest win out of the 7 will be Memphis IMO, & I think we knock them off.

I have us with this an add a Dallas win.

Could be, you just never know.  I know the C's are a far better defensive team this year and with that, I think more wins come of it.  It will mostly be about consistency on offense, specifically Bradley.  If we can get Bradley going, we have a chance to win most nights.  I want 18-21 pts from Bradley night in and night out.  It's a lot to ask for considering his past, but the past is just that...the past.  Let's see his development start sky rocketing.

I just checked the home and away games and for the home games during this stretch I think the Nets, Raptors, Pacers, and Suns are all winnable games.   Let's say we take 3 out of 4 there since they are at home.  We should beat Philly on the road.  That team is pitiful.   Throw in a surprise win (there always is one), and we could go 5 and 9 which is not the end of the world.

If that happens or even if it's 4 and 10 we have plenty of time to make that up if we strive to make the playoffs.

Rondo will come back for the Cleveland game.. no way he misses a chance to go against LeBron.

I bet with Rondo we pull that game out. You gotta admit - when Rondo tries, he's tough to beat.
