He looked brutal last night and one big reason why imo has to do with added weight.

He definitely looks 10-12 pounds bulkier but it is also affecting his agility, quickness and ability to jump quickly off the ground.  Just "sluggish" out there.    Two instances where he let a few sg/sfs guys get layups around him. Before he could react/jump, the ball was already in (since he doesn't have exceptional length, he needs to be able to jump quickly off the ground for these kind of situations).    On the offensive end during a few PNR plays , he couldn't get to an open spot quick enough. By the time he was ready to shoot, there was a guy all over him. This happened several times (something that rarely did last season).

He has to lose 5-10 pounds. Not be as skinny as last season but not as bulky as he is now. Somewhere in between. He has to get his quickness, athleticism, running ability back.

On another note, i'm disappointed with Sullinger.  The guy has not improved his shape/condition to the level it should be after having a full offseason this time. Look at KO in comparison.   Come on Sully

Would this affect his hands of stone rebounding with his head moment?  I had Vitaly Potapenko flashbacks the horror!

I like the bulk.  He'll work into it and be better for it.

I hope so. But we clearly saw KO's inability to work into it last season.

I noticed this in the first training camp footage - Sully looks huge.  I'm wondering if he looks even bigger than last year.  Pretty poor effort I think...but I'll save final judgement until I can see his conditioning say, 10 games in to the regular season.   Maybe he is better conditioned than he looks.

His hands were very bad last night!  Rondo will not like this at all.

Yeah like I said in another thread I really don't understand this at all. Sullinger is a professional athlete...His goal this summer was to lose weight... The only obligation and responsibility he has in the offseason is too get in shape...

How does he come in to camp "almost there" stamina wise... He should be COMPLETELY THERE. And he should have no excuse otherwise because he is finally healthy.

IF you heard him over the summer, he didn't care much for "losing weight" vs coming into shape.  Like it doesn't matter if i come in the top 20 in the marathon, as long as finish kind of mentality

Bryan Doo should of pushed him harder but in the end its up to sully to change his body. He does suicide sprints 2 to 3 times a week (for even a month) and there is no way he doesn't shed some pounds and gets cut.   He really needs this to increase his stamina and get some more lift in his jump

It's too bad that Zeller was working out on his own vs getting advice from Doo, who did a great job helping KO transform his body. KO will have even a better body next season i would imagine. Zeller is not in bad shape. Probably stronger too. But he can't get too bulky at the cost of losing his quickness , agility , running and quick jumping ability

As far as Sully goes, lets just hope that he has the Paul Pierce style body... where he always looks out of shape - no matter how much he works out  :)

Yeah but he didn't seem to do either. Which indeed is extremely disappointing.

I think Stevens and especially Ainge are disappointed also. Ainge wanted him to come into this season in much better condition.

I suspect Zeller's problems had to do with it being the first preseason game with a new team.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.  The extra 10 pounds of muscle aren't going to slow him that much.
I'm really disappointed in Sully.  His goal in the offseason was to lose weight and he doesn't appear to have lost any.  It's only going to get harder to keep his weight down.  Last season he had the excuse of back surgery.  This year he has no excuse.
