He is learning to be a 7 ft player......he still gas guard tendencies .

When he learns some post moves ....he is going to be special.

He does have moves. Many moves . but i dont think it will fly in the nba. Last season i saw him attempt to get post position and try some things out.

But so far this preseason/SL he has not attempted to try to get the ball downlow. Imo stevens is going to avoid him possibly getting his shots blocked and focus on him being a stretch 4, pnr guy.  Have sully instead work on the post and grab offensive rebounds.   So far this strategy is working. Both are doing pretty decent jobs in the defensivr end also. Though we will see what they can manage to do vs guys like dhoward, ibaka, drummond

Well I think that is exactly why Stevens is emphasizing the 3 point shot with our bigs.  If they are draining open 3s, then the DHowards, Ibakas, Drummonds, etc. will have to go all the way out of the paint to guard them.  This opens up the lane for our other players to score inside.

I'm not worried about Olynyk resolving his weaknesses right now. It is more important for him to become effective at what he actually does well.

Olynyk took 45 threes over the last 22 games last season at about  45%. So he took about 2 a game. I'd like to see him get up to 3-4 attempts a game and make the opposing bigs respect the 3. It'd help open things up for Rondo, Smart, and Turner to create some havoc.

I'd like to see him shoot more, period. If he can approach 45% from 3, he should be taking at least 5 a game. I also want him taking about 4 in put-backs or up at the basket, and then 4 in between. The more he shoots the more they will have to defend him--and the more effective his clever passing will be.

I'll wait while you compile the list of bigs that shot 45% from 3 last year...
