The boy played pretty well I might say. He looked comfortable. I just feel he should've taken a few shots he passed up on   I know its only one game. All im trying to say is when that man had the ball  all eyes go on him as everyone  is waiting to see what he does. The kid got a unique skill set. I think he should try  to push towards the next level this year

Note: I said "Try an and push towards"  I dont want people replying saying I'm asking to much out of him. Im highly content of what hes done so far

Seemed like he was much more assertive in the first scrimmage game, when he and Sully were on opposite sides, than in the second game, when they were on the same team. And, sometimes it seems like Sully dominates when they're out there together.

Let's just hope Sully hasn't smashed KO's cell phone, and KO hasn't gone to hide in his sister's room for two hours: http://grantland.com/features/trey-burke-jared-sullinger-friends/.

much improved on defense, always solid rebounding
offense looked good but at times i think he should be a high post focal point for c's
he can pass great, shoot the elbow (and deeper) jump shot and take bigs off the dribble, kg sort of stuff

Scrimmages are against guys you know and easier to perform in.

He will, become more assertive in time.   He is not the type of guy to get to far ahead of himself , not a risk taker by nature.

As his skills are honed and polished , he'll start to try and make more or of an impact

It took LeBron many years to become the leader , put himself in the drivers seat as the number 1 guy and put the team on his back .  Until he won the first ring , I had my doubts about him being THE guy everynight and everything to a team.

I definitely thought he looked timid and passive, especially in shooting the three ball.  It reminded me of his first half of last year where he looked scared to shoot. He was much better at the end of last year when he didn't hesitate before shooting.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Agree...he  exposed Nerlins lack of NBA experience and size.  Noel is a stick .

One year has made a huge difference in KO all around game.  He played decent defense, didn't look confused ,  changed shots .....I saw a lot of good stuff from KO.  He was playing a well rounded game. Learning how to work with new teammates and playing center ...alot to grasp

I'm expecting KO to have a pretty stellar year. I like the reports of what he has done this summer and he has looked good in the scrimmages, training camps first few sessions, and the first pre season game. I personally think he will make a nice leap and have a better overall season than Sullinger.

From what I saw, Olynyk's reluctance to shoot the three happened almost exclusively early in the shot clock, which may be the correct basketball decision.

Olynyk took 45 threes over the last 22 games last season at about  45%. So he took about 2 a game. I'd like to see him get up to 3-4 attempts a game and make the opposing bigs respect the 3. It'd help open things up for Rondo, Smart, and Turner to create some havoc.

actually now that you mentioned it...what I said on other threads, Smart can drive, he may not be quick and fast, but he is bulky enough to tank his way through. His problem is finishing at the rim. If Oly can have a respectable 3 that opens the lane up for our guards, I can definitely see Smart being a lot more productive on the offensive end

That's what I'm hoping. I like the Smart pick and while not seemingly explosive, Pierce really never seemed that way to the naked eye either. If he turns out to be TA with PG skills, I'll be thrilled. That said, what a gross shot he has. He looks like he's in-bounding the ball.

My point was to compare the first and second scrimmage games. Not a scrimmage with last night's game.

Olynyk shot the 3-ball well in preseason game 2 against the Knicks. 3-5 is a pretty  good percentage.  He was getting good looks and putting them away.  Meanwhile Sully was shooting at a high rate near the basket. 9-12 is impressive any way you slice it.  Especially considering he was also 3-3 from long range.

The Celtics might end up with the best long range shooting bigs in the NBA.  Oly and Sully went a combined 6-8 from 3 point land!  Meanwhile Brad Stevens cackles while steepling his fingers, "Excellent!  All according to my master plan!"

[Celtics starters were a combined 9/14 from 3 point range vs the Knicks]
