Sully got yanked out twice shooting them in last night's game and replaced with Zeller but Sully at least can rebound and score some down low.

just for context from last night's game....

player    # of shots   fg%
sullinger 15 shots    27%
thornton 13 shots    38%
olynyk    12 shots    33%
turner     11 shots    45%
bradley   10 shots    30%
smart       8 shots    00%
young      8 shots    38%

its not as if bradley was either (1) taking an incredible number of shots at the expense of his team mates, or, (2) had the worse shooting percentage on the team.

last season avery was 43.8% on fg and 39.5% on 3 pointers. the nba average last season was 45.4% fg and 36% 3 pointers.

it's one preseason game folks. let's keep our over reactions in check at least a bit.

FYI I posted this thread to see how people felt bout Bradley.. I even defended his game throughout the post. This was not intended to bad mouth him as I have never bad mouthed any Celtics player since I been on this thread(Its the team I root for). And as far his shots go. He took them all in a small duration of time which made his shooting night for noticeable.

As for people jumping on the thread bad mouthing him??? THATS CLOCKWORK

Its one preseason game. He shot poorly but did other things well. I feel you got market rate on his contract so I don't hate him being back. I do like him better as a combo guard/ 6th man off the bench but there isn't a better option at SG at this time to start for the C's.

One of the critics' talking points against Bradley is that he's a chucker. I find that strange because last season in an offense where he and Jordan Crawford were attempting to run the show, he still managed to shoot at an above average percentage.

I also don't understand why some are clamoring for him to guard 2's instead of 1's even though he's more suited to guard the latter. Most teams if their PG isn't the focal point of their offense, he's at least equal to the SG in effectiveness. For e.g, when they play the Hornets this year would some prefer Smart guard Walker and Bradley take Stephenson to expose Bradley for being undersized, to prove a point or something?

Signing Bradley to a $36 million dollar contract was a HUGE mistake.

I'm not really referring to the bad-mouthing or anyone in here particular,  its that its 1 preseason game. Their is no thoughts, we need a larger sample size.

I wouldnt say Huge. Especially after the whole CBA thing progresses as I been reading here. Theres noone else we couldve possibly got who can shoot 3s and at the same time play defense.

Do not want Rondo forced to defend SGs.

AB is on the boarder of a great 6th man and starting shooting guard. Theres noone else on our team who can guard a SG with the same effectiveness as him. Theres a reason he took Ray Allens starting spot

We should of not brought back AB in the 1st place imo

I sorta feel like that at times as well .. though, he is the next best thing for a non allstar SG who can play defense

Signing Bradley to a $36 million dollar contract was a HUGE mistake.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about Avery Bradley.

If he has a good seasonand continues to develop, we got one more valid reason why Rondo should consider resigning

Bradley (and everyones) offense will look better/more efficient with Rondo back.  I think he didn't play great but its obviously game 1 of preseason.  Something I thought was that smart looked to be the better defensive guard compared to bradley.  We'll see how game #2 goes  ::)
