I like Faried a lot but where did this new found love for undersized big men come from? Isn't that why we criticize Sully, Green, and Bass especially. I actually feel like Faried is just a younger more athletic Bass.

Faried is a monster rebounder who takes almost 90% of his shots within ten feet of the basket.  Does that sound like Bass?

no, but that doesn't change the fact he's really just a limited role player, albeit one that does his role pretty well

Hayward and Parsons got contracts based on their expected continued growth not on what they have currently done.  If they both continue to improve like they have then the contracts will work out.  If they have reached their peak then they are overpaid.  That happens a lot with players leaving their rookie contracts and entering that 2nd contract.  Sometimes the player ends up being worth the contract.  I think Joe Johnson is a classic example of that type of player.  Often times they end up overpaid for various reasons.  Sometimes it is injury like Eric Gordon, sometimes they just don't keep growing, sometimes they regress.  Too early to say if Hayward and Parsons are overpaid.  Let's see what they do this year before we start drawing conclusions.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick
