I like Turner , Smart and Young

me too.  I am starting to warm up to Smart.  If he continues to put out the 100% effort on D we will have something pretty good with him.

ET looked good.  Hopefully he shuts people up about how bad of a player he is.  He suits this team well.

Crap, I missed the 2nd half and was prepared to say that it's going to be a long year lol, and then I just checked the score.  Obviously, I don't think that I'll be reading over the prior 20 pages of this thread haha, so I have 2 questions -

1).  How did Young look?  I only saw precious little of him in the 1st half, but I like his stat line, for the most part.  At least he made a shot - cough, Marcus Smart, cough ;D

2.  Idk if anyone was paying attention to him, but did anyone see KJ McDaniels play?  Again, I only saw about a minute or two of him, but his line in the box score says that he had 4 blocks :o  Ha!  See, boys and girls, that's our rim protector (sarcasm) ;D  I wish that we had been able to get him in the draft.  Could we trade someone for him?  Bueller, anyone ;D?

Just got back from the game. Awesome night. Very excited about our future.

Although Smart didn't score, he played great D, hustled, and made some really nice passes. I think his shot will fall eventually. Loved what I saw from Smart.

Very impressed with Turner. Showed great leadership out there. Had a pretty good view of the court, and after almost every play, I see Turner demanding a mini-huddle.

And Young, no doubt this kid is a great shooter. What really surprised me was his effort on D.

From what I saw, KO got owned by Henry Sims and Noel, especially when he forgot to take another dribble and was emphatically rejected by Sims lol.  Zeller looked lost, Bass played well, Turner had some nice dribbling moves, but I also saw him throw a cross-court pass that sailed over Bass' head lol, so, yeah...I hope that he was better in the 2nd half.  Seeing him hit the side of the backboard on a turnaround jumper didn't exactly instill much confidence in him, haha, but I liked his stat line.  4 offensive rebounds - cool! ;D

there was one play where he cut to the basket and tried to dunk it and got rejected

though he got rejected I am happy not because of that, but because it looks like he is getting more comfortable driving to the rim and being aggressive. I believe eventually if he keeps doing that, he will have a few calls go his way

76ers are so young it's tough to really tell much.  But offensively we look like a team that's going to play small, push the ball and shoot a lot of 3's.  Liking Young's quick release and confidence.  Looks like he knows how to score. It's going to be real interesting to see whether Stevens can coax the best out of Turner.  That to me is one of the best sub plots heading into the season.

Our team is so young , without Rondo to lead them.....they had to feel good about putting together a win, even against the lowly sixers.

Even a preseason game win builds unity and team confidence .

With such a mixed bag of players during a rebuild, this was important to  have  a win.

Thronton can really score eh! He wears that #4 better than Jason Terry or Kbogs

Disrespect to Terry, at least he tattooed the Celtics championship on his arm  :P
must be me but when I hear #4, I think Tony Battie as the last guy who wore it that mattered
What about little nate? haha
didn't do enough.  Battie was a key cog under Obie.

Not Jim Paxson ::)?  Ahahahaha ;D

I know he barely played but I was impressed with Powell.  The guy is quick in both hands and feet.  Everything he did he seemed to do at full speed and he knocked two balls away from players making offensive moves in the lane.

Think Turner takes offense to getting traded for a 2nd round pick?

Not sure how Danny signed Turner to a 2 year 6 million dollar deal. Turner gave us a big discount

Looks like a guy that should be making at least 8 million a year
I think plenty of guys will look like bargains against this 76ers squad. We have plenty of information on Turner, you really don't want to be paying him 8 million dollars.

heck i'd go with a nonconventional starting 5 if i keep seeing the same productivity of:
Turner, Smart, Bradley, Young, Olynyk

small ball, but did anyone see all of those steals?!?! havoc is coming for those east conf guards

modified: posted to the wrong thread. sorriessss

But the fact that he didn't overdribble or jack up bad shots tonight was promising.

Perhaps not worth 8, but he could be worth the 7 he's paid.
