I can't wait to see these guys hound opponents all game long.  They can switch and effectively guard pgs and sgs as well.

You add Phil Presseys "stuck on you" defense, and it's going to be a pain to play against us.
Lots of steals also.

why don't we let smart play a full game of pre-season before we anoint anyone?

for that matter let's see AB play a full season while we're at it.

Though not true would have been hilarious to see someone "troll" counter with

Smart and AB= candidate for worst offensive back court duo?

So's Bradley, or Lee for that matter, along with a ton of players who couldn't score well in the nba. Hopefully he'll be as great as people expect, but I'd like to see him play in some actual games before we start measuring him for his all-star jersey.

as an nba fan, the rivalry of Smart/Bradley and Wall/Beal would be a decade's worth of awesome.
offense vs defense

I have to agree here that Smart is very talented offensively. I think Smart is gonna tear other pg's apart.
Now we have not seen Smart play since summer league, but we do know that he works his tail off and gave up $ to go back to school and get better at point guard. My gut tells me that his shot and decision making and passing have gotten better.
I just can't wait to watch this kid play, he reminds me of a player that can improve their shot constantly throughout their career.

we really should have paid bradley like 5 mil.

I guess I am going through a stage right now where I hate Bradley and think we would have been better off letting him walk or at least letting another team make an offer.

We have so many 2's that we could use this year to increase their value:Thornton(27 years old) Evan Turner, and then James Young for experience.

The dude never is healthy. And is completely undersized.

Say what you want about the cap and how it is increasing, it won't bother me. Say how his contract will be a steal eventually. Why pay a guy that money? Danny should have been more patient because we ended up with Thornton and Evan Turner.

Best case scenario is that the younger players copy his discipline for defense and he has a great year.....then we trade him bc he is too unpredictable and we have James Young possibly coming though that door soon

+1. And whats good about Smart though is that even though he might have an off game, he will still work his butt off in the defensive end and do the dirty work on the offensive end (picks, box out, rebound etc)

When he is having a bad game, by the 2nd half, i would like to see him post up exclusively and try to get to the line as much as possible. Make his FT's , then get his jump shot back to track.
