Hello Everyone,

Slow time on the night shift so I figured I'd compile a list of players that could conceivably be attainable for the right price.

Many of the players aren't based on any sort of rumors but are more just the by-product of looking at  rosters and trying to identify potential upcoming contract disputes and/or positional overlap.

Choose three and feel free to throw out anyone I missed.

I would absolutely love to see Javale Mcgee on the Celtics. First of all we need a good defensive center and if he focuses Mcgee can be a great rim protector. Besides he can score and he's really funny ( I'm not sure if that's a good thing). Anyways he can fill our center spot well.

I chose...

Enes Kanter - Really think he could be the reliable 2 way post threat that this team needs. If we do end up keeping Rondo we could possibly sell him on a Kentucky Connection (he was ineligible to play due to amateurism rules but was still active with the program). He's got a mean drop step. Personally reminds me of a less finesse based Pau Gasol (though admittedly he's still leagues away from Pau).

Tobias Harris - We currently lack a true go to scorer on this team. Someone who yo can throw the ball to and expect them to create a quality shot. Harris has poor man's Melo potential and if you could get that without entirely tying up your cap it could be a real win.

Otto Porter Jr. - After a rough rookie season Washington clearly felt they needed other options not they've they've essentially gone all in. After Pierce it could be argued that Glen Rice Jr. might be more NBA ready leaving Porter as a possible odd man out on a team not interested in player development. Strong all around game with defensive potential could be a nice fit in Stevens Ball movement heavy system.

I'd be on board with that if McGee didnt have that season ending stress fracture injury last year.  I dont know if that is something that might recur but it makes me nervous.

I'd leave it up to Stevens as to whether or not he'd think McGee could grasp the concepts of his system. If he'd sign off on him JaValle would fill some major needs on the roster.

Ultimately none of them. These are just means to an end....a superstar or two.

I voted for Kanter, Hibbert and McLemore since i think they have the most talent. Most of the rest of those players probably aren't an upgrade over our mediocre core of Rondo, Smart, Bradley, Sully, Green, Olynyk, Zeller. In other words they probably aren't worth the cost to sign / trade for them.

People appear to like Gobert. I have not seen him play. His stats are 2 points and 3 rebounds a game in 10 minutes for 45 games. Is he really any good?

Or is this forum just that desperate for a big 7 footer?

Speaking of which i dont want busted shaqtin' a fool McGee at 12 million per year. And at age 26 with 6 years experience as a pro, he is what he is at this point.

Happy with the response, definitely interesting to see the type of players who this board trends toward...

No one's feeling an all Zeller Front Court?

People must feel like a Barnes deal could happen (trade deadline? Brandon Bass?)

People definitely feel like the Back Court is set, barring an actual star of course. No one on this list is better than what we have except for possibly Jimmy Butler.
