Please forgive me for any invalid information I may possibly be displaying

So I believe we own next years Nets pick and option to swap the following year

As of now, Deron, Johnson, KG, and Lopez make for a possibly decent competitive team (8th seedish) Believe they have Jarret Jack now to replace Livingston

Im assuming the Nets are refusing to go into a rebuild based on giving up those draft picks and the money they spent to compete again . Anyone know if any of those players contracts are ending this year or next? Or when KG is thinking of retiring? I THINK KG is on his last year of his contract.

Any thoughts or information given would be appreciated

I can see Brooklyn's pick being more valuable then our pick this year with Lopez and dWill's injury woes, Johnson is getting up there in age and KG? Lol,

I don't have the link off hand, but I think it is still uncertain if KG will play this season. It seemed earlier in the offseason the team had more confidence. TP to whoever finds the link.

At this point in his career, KG's play is a non-factor in how the Nets will perform as a team.

I'm hoping for a one-year resurgence from the Nets this season.

Johnson is year older ....not good ...waning years of his prime ....looking for fade this season.

KG .....is a cheerleader at best

Lopez .....always an accident waiting to,happen

Jack ....meh ...

DWill .... Glass body ....now a year older ....going down hill like DWade.

It will take a ton of luck....injury free season for them to be a 7 or 8 seed.

Johnson's game doesn't rely on athleticism at all.  He posts up with his strong core (which isn't suddenly going to atrophy) and he shoots (which is a skill that tends to stay with players for quite some time).  Johnson ought to have a more graceful aging of his game, meaning he probably won't experience the precipitous type of decline that more athleticism-dependent players see around his age (see: Wallace, Gerald).

You're right on the others, though.  I think they'll still squeak in as a low seed, though.  I don't think it'll take much luck, but they're certainly not going to win the title this year.

As much as I would like the nets to just fall apart, I have a hard time believing that the C's will be better than them this year.

The nets actually really improved in the 2nd half of the season after Lopez went down with the injury.  Lopez has been cleared for play and should be ready for training camp.

In either case it won't really matter to the C's since we don't get their pick until the following year.  This year we need something bad to happen to the Clips and Cavs.

Blake and/ CP3 are due for a season-threatening injury.  Bron's been overdue for an ailment too.  could see Kyrie and Love missing some time.  No particular insight into why they'd be injured but would help the C's draft picks and would hurt 2 teams I want to see fail (Clips thanks to Doc and Cleveland because I can't stand Lebron)

The Cavs pick comes to us no earlier than 2016 according to RealGM, and is top-10 protected until 2019.

good to know - thanks.  guess I'll just be hoping for something bad to happen to the Cavs/Lebron just based on my usual general principles ;)

Exactly.

My personal dream scenario is for the Cavs to storm through the regular season and make the finals....then lose to the Spurs AGAIN.
