Brad Stevens pretty much got a pass last season. I do not think many were evaluating him critically last season. He was pretty much given a pass last season because it was his rookie year and we were 'tanking'.

Fast forward to next season, what are you looking for in CBS. What do you need to see from him to make him a keeper, or is it still soon for that level of critical evaluation?

i'm sorry, but who is CBS? oh wait, i think i see who you mean here...Coach Brad Stevens?

if so, then help us out a bit. what are the criteria you propose we should use in evaluating stevens? should it be simply w-l record? player development? if so, how and whom do we measure? offensive improvement? defensive improvement?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't expect much criticism coming out against him.  He's amiable, smart and doesn't get carried away with his emotions.  I think the biggest knock on him last year was winning too many games...especially at the end of the season.

Most fans would agree that most games were fairly entertaining and competitive.  There was a drop off as the season wore on.  But, one couldn't fault Brad.  There was a myriad of trades, injuries and loss of two superstars.  The expectations were very low and the team met them.

Most fans are not expecting much this year either.  If they win 30 games that would be considered a success.  So, unless Brad starts alienating players or does something inappropriate he should be in good graces with the brass, players, fans and media.

If they land a superstar in 2015 and a big guy and the team goes downhill the criticism will come pouring in.  Danny might be on the hot seat too.

I'm not sold on CBS like a lot of people are, because he hasn't shown anything other than being a friendly guy. I'd like to see some sort of offensive system put in place, and to see Sully stop shooting threes.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

I think a lot of players showed improvement last year on the C's in areas.  Some of this was subtle and hard to pick up and this benefited young players as well as old.   This year some of the development will be painful (like Sully developing range, I hope Stevens sees he is an pear and not an apple though and keeps him near the rim where he is more effective).  I think he gets a four year period of grace.   One was a gimme, two will be too.   I think we will expect results by year three and playoffs possibly.

I do not expect us to make noise until next year.   We have a lot of kids and a lot of expiring.   Hopefully, Bass gets moved as he serves little purpose and hampers development of the young assets.   Green, I see being moved during the trade deadline as a rental perhaps.  Rondo, who knows.
