I didn't see a thread for this game. If there is one and I missed it, my apologies.
If you're not excited about Anthony Davis, you don't like basketball. He is so unbelievably talented it's crazy, and the way he plays the game is so comforting. He is all over the place on both ends of the floor and he has as much athletic ability as you could ask for in a big. The Uniblocker is going to be one of the best two-way players for a long time.
The reception Rose got was awesome, as well, and he really looks good physically. It's certainly going to take him some time to get his timing back and get into the full swing of things again, but I'm excited for him. If he can stay healthy, he really looks like he still has a chance to reestablish himself in elite territory.
On the whole, going forward Team USA has to play smarter basketball. They got a little careless with the ball last night and had some stagnant offensive stretches on account of heavy isolation play and minimal movement. They picked it up late, like always, but this team doesn't have the luxury of coasting through the middle segment of the game without guys like Durant.
For anyone interested, take a look at my recap of the game.
