I just think it's just taking away from the skill of the true professionals (sarcasm) But....But... Professional athletes are infallible, right?

It sounds like some harmless kids up to mischief. No big deal. One of their parents turned them in to the police and they got a good scare. No big deal.

No big deal.I assume you don't have a spouse and children? If people enter your home at night and invade your security, it's a big deal.

Unfortunately its one I might have made myself at 18 -- depending on the circumstances. Therefore, I probably would go easy on the judicial side of things, especially if this is a first brush with the law. If it were a group of black teens, I am certain that the public in general would have a hard time believing they weren't up to no good. A group of 20 yo whites and there tend to be different assumptions. "Stupid mistake" vs. "Criminal act". A good example of the manifestation of stereotyping.
Quote from: LarBrd33 on August 15, 2014, 09:42:32 PM"Bling Ring" isn't a great movie, but it's pretty interesting that actually happened... Teens in LA broke into celebrity houses while they were out of town... Stole crap and had parties. They broke into Paris Hilton's house like 5 times. Almost no security... They just walked in and hung out.I imagine these kids had that in mind when they went to ray's house. Was that the movie with Emma Watson? And if they were stealing from Paris Hilton, were they really stealing? That would be just like stealing from the Kardashians - who cares? Grab your torch and pitchforks! I read somewhere the other day that Kim made ****ing $28 million last year. FOR WHAT!?!? FOR WHAT!?!?

That said I still wish they had had their heads blown off. I have zero tolerance for people that make the "stupid mistake" of going into someone's house like this. Zero. And if I was 18 I definitely would not have snuck into someone's house. Not even an NBA player. Now if hot chicks were involved. Well. That might be different.
