None, those days are gone in the NBA.

I agree, but if it were to be anyone I hope it would be Smart. He's going to be a star.

Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwayne Wade, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker . . .

I think Avery Bradley has a chance at being the winner based on the list of names you gave.  Especially if his game keeps improving now that he has his new contract.  There could be a chip on his shoulder, and he may want to prove that he belongs on the team...especially to those who might question the cost of that new contract.

But truthfully, there are few and far between examples of players who stay with one team and also have long careers.  True in all sports.

I think it would be an easier decision if the question changes to who will be the one that plays for the Celtics for 12+ years.

It's pretty awesome for the Spurs that 3 of the 6 are on that team.

I'll take the field and go with the oddly worded "Someone From College Until Drafted By Boston". That provides endless possibilities of being correct.

Young, James Young. Potential flame out or Kobe Bryant successor.

James Young a Kobe Bryant successor?? Man i hope so! I am gonna go with Marcus Smart. Kid is gonna be good. Brings it on both ends. Reminds me a lot of Wade. Drafted around the same part of the draft. People worried about Wades shot coming into the league as well.

I am excited to see this kid play in the future for sure.

none of the above.  its a rarity for players this era to remain with the same team.  i imagine it will continue to get more rare as time goes

None from that group.

As mentioned in an earlier post ...DA is not the type of GM to let that happen

I may not live long enough to see the next Bird or Pierce type talent to land on the Celtics.

I notice you left off Sallinger, which makes me very sad, but I have to agree as things stand right now.   It will be a terrible shame if he joins a list with good talent and basketball IQ, but maybe either not quite enough motivation or not enough "team" spirit (my list will not be everyone's, but, like Antoine Walker, Glen Davis...) to become top stars in the Celtics organization.  I would like to think that, although time is becoming short, there is still a window for Sully to turn things around (serious work on his body).  Wasted potential by my favorites really don't help my outlook or optimism.  I am saving my tears on this, hoping he does make it.
