The Wolves are pulling off a stellar rebuild in my eyes.

Wiggins/Martin/Robinson JR
Brewer/Shabazz/Budinger
Young/Mbah Moute
Pek/Dieng/Turiaf

At 40 and 42 last season I actually think trading Love for Wiggins and Young makes their system better. Young is a better fit next to Pek. They have plenty of assets to try and upgrade their front court even more. Plus their picks. They're in fairly good shape and might be able to fight for an 8th seed with this lineup. A couple more smart moves by Flip an this could turn into a young an exciting team to watch the next few years.

wouldn't be very ironic if the Wolves somehow made playoffs next year (probably won't but imagine), and Love basically wanted out cuz he missed playoffs since being drafted

agreed.  not seeing why Minny would pass on the player that has a rookie deal and significant upside particularly when Bennett has shown some good play in summer league

Why should I believe this any more than the report before it that said 76ers not involved or the one before that which said the 76ers are involved?

I am not sure I really care either way I guess.

I like what Minn is doing with this deal. Wiggins brings star power that they will lose with Loves departed. Young is a young vet who will fill Loves roster spot. I would expect more moves but they are laying a foundation for a very athletic up and down team. This should play to Rubios strengths.

Phili makes another lose now move but in the long term Bennett could develop in a Young like 4/3. Projecting to the future Im not sure if they view Noel and Embiid as movable parts or building blocks to a future twin towers. I expect Noel will be able to defend the 4 so as long as one develops a decent mid range game they might work as a pair. This relegates Bennett to the bench because I don't think he will be a starting 3.

His rookie stats were worse than Kwame Browns.  He could develop but he could flame out just as easily.

Yeah as much as I hate Flip Saunders today, I agree that I think Young is a better pickup than Bennett.

Young is athletic while Bennett has bust written all over him.
