- Now he has a jump shot.  Drive and pop won't be easy to stop.
- Looks fitter. Better quickness/leap. His handle and drive to the basket is quick
- Young was a good pick . But man i was kind of hoping Danny made a surprise move and went for Mcgary.   Looks like a pain in the azz to play against

I know - I wanted him, too, and KJ Mcdaniels.  I'm surprised that McGary went that high.  Not because of his talent, but because of the marijuana issue and the back injury.  Durant is going to love playing with him, imo.  Unlike Westbrook, McGary will actually give him the ball   I wish that we could have bought and/or traded into the mid-to-late 1st, early 2nd round, but it didn't work out that way.  Sigh.  I love his rebounding tenacity.  The question I have is, would you rather have McGary or KO?  I know that Olynyk looked a lot better towards the end of the year, and I did enjoy watching him play, but you can't do anything about his t-rex arms, and he's not a very good rebounder.  McGary, some post moves aside, is the same player, only he's a great rebounder.  Honestly, I think I'd rather have him.

Mcgary is like a slimmer taller Sully.  Just a beast downlow (+skills).  It was him and Burke that took Michigan to the finals two years ago.

I would have picked Bruno Caboclo over Mgcary especially at that time. He was being very shady with his health report.

Actually now after sl idk who has the brighter future , maybe Bruno bc he played pretty well in the "league of summer"....i know that means nothing but it is better than playing awful.

Yeah, I remember his play in the tournament and how everyone was saying that he was a lottery pick (had he declared after that season), but I didn't see a ton of him and there aren't many highlights on youtube, so tell me, does he have any post moves?

Do you mean down the road or right away?

If they both played 30 minutes a night this year, I'd say, with hesitancy (due to the ridiculous lack of respect given to rookies by the officials), right now.  Even when scouting reports catch up to McGary and players around the league familiarize themselves with his tendencies, having to deal with him and Sullinger is a daunting task.  It'd almost be like having to play against 2 Kevin Love's, with McGary's rebounding tenacity, maybe.  He almost looks like a taller Randle with the way that he can pass and handle the ball.  I'm not so sure if he compares favorably to Randle in terms of post play, however, seeing as the only highlights I've seen of McGary on YouTube didn't show any of that.  I definitely like his approach to the game, though.
