He provides depth at the sf spot and the 2 guard spot. Now alot of you say we have so many guards ya I agree. But you can never have to much talent. The  move if its one years or 2 I hope its 1.Reason being maybe Turner can revive his life with the Celtics. Maybe he averages 18 points a game and we deal him at the deadline and get some pieces back for him. It is a buy low high reward situation.

I agree, plus he can be a scorer for the team, and injuries will happen, so Turner can add depth at the 2 or 3 spot when someone gets injured.

He's most likely to take the Barbosa role, I see him backing up Green in case uncle Jeff is on snooze mode again....

It looks like they want to play small - possibly with 3 guards.  Uncle Jeff, if he's still here, may end up seeing time at the 4.

He is a great buy low asset. Now if Danny decides he wants to trade Rondo and Green, we will have a player for the sf position.

I think we should wait till after at least 20 games to trade Green. I think/hope he's gonna have a career year.

crafty scrorer, above average midrange, average from 3pt, unathletic SF... very similar but i just wish he had the PP34 killer instinct

No it's not, haha ;D  Turner should start over Green, just for his effort alone ;D

It's a good move because he'll be a significant upgrade over Gerald Wallace, even if he doesn't play a bit better than he did in Philly or Indy.

Every time someone mentions Evan Turner and Paul Pierce in the same breath, a little part of my basketball fan soul dies.....

Well, it obviously depends on whether or not Jeff Green is moved (fingers crossed) in addition to how well Turner is playing, but if both of them stay, Turner will likely be moved for junk and a pick at the trade deadline, imo, just like Crawford and Brooks were last year.  Unless of course Danny thinks that Turner is our sf of the future, in which case my previous comments would be grossly incorrect (even more-so than usual).

He's clearly shown he has talent and potential.  I think shooting efficiency can improve in the right system.
