The logo will first be used on adidas team apparel and merchandise on sale through the team’s online store beginning this month.

Celtics season ticket-holders and corporate partners can also buy apparel featuring the new alternate logo two days before products are released to the general public.

Keith Sliney, the Celtics’ creative director and the logo’s designer, stressed that it won’t be replacing their main logo, nor are there immediate plans to place it on game jerseys.

Or TJ Maxx   It looks terrible.  There's absolutely no reason to change anything, logo-wise.  Don't they have anything better to do?

The 3-leaf clover is a much better alternate logo.

I think it's a decent logo. I like the understated-ness of it, I think that sticks with Celtics tradition

I don't think it's too bad. Basically the silhouette of the 1968-1978 logo.



Why no attempts to revive this classic?

Mixed feelings on my part. I just don't know how they will incorporate this logo to the uniforms.

Me too -- something new, yet fairly well-positioned in line with other Celtics designs currently in use.
