Vitor has been posting videos from his rehab on twitter:

I assumed we will have him for training camp, but what I saw does not look that great.

Could someone with more knowledge/experience on knee rehab tell me how far he is?

He had meniscus tear surgery in March. Internet gives me 3-4 months rehab. He should be alright to start the season, no?

Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

I believe I read that he and Wallace were both checked out by the C's recently. Wallace was scheduled to resume some level of basketball activity this month, and Vitor next month.

I think those videos are a couple of weeks old now. But yeah, outwardly it looks like he'll be challenged to be ready for the start of training camp, which I suppose could impact his readiness for the start of the season.

Sully last year was cleared for full basketball activity for the whole month of August, I believe. His stamina was limited all season and people are still using his recovery as an excuse for his being fat now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wallace back in pretty good shape for the season, per usual, despite his being an older player.

Recovery time for meniscal tears is quite variable, depending both on the type of tear and the severity, and how it is taken care of---either by repair or menisectomy.  We fans are really never privy to this info, but seeing as Vitor is in his fourth month of rehab I'd have to assume it was a more severe tear, and repaired, not trimmed away.  Repair rehab usually takes about 3-4 months so based on the videos he might be somewhat behind schedule, but with camp still a couple months away, I would think he'll be OK to go, if he's working hard and suffers no setbacks!
Fav was one of my favorite players last season, and it was upsetting the way he was used, (or not used) after the great start he had.  He always seemed like his attitude was good, so I don't know what the problem was.  Hopefully, fully recovered, he has a much bigger role with the team this year!  As with most international players he seems to have a real high BBIQ, so it may be just taking him longer to adjust to the American game!
And for those who may be wondering, I'm not a doctor, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last nite----I'm an MRI Technologist for 26 years and have done thousands of knee exams----no expert, by any means, but do have a modicum of knowledge on the subject.

Thanks to both of you!

@OhioGreen - great insights! Fingers crossed there will be no setbacks.

@clover - I have a secret hope that Wallace will be better this season. He is still 31 and was a great player a couple of seasons ago. He should be at least serviceable at this stage of his career no matter the mileage.

I hope Favs lack of play was due to the injury starting and wasn't preforming as well because of it. When he first got here and started to play he was good, really good.

I love his game were he's part finesse and part banger. Ran the floor well on the fast breaks. How many times when he was getting legit minutes was he getting put back dunks or tips on the breaks because he wad trailing.

Him and Zeller will be a good pair.

It seems Fav may be the odd man out on the Sully/Olynyk/Zeller/Bass/Fav rotation. Plus Iverson potentially?

Makes me want Bass traded so we can go all out youth on the big man front.
