I try not to overreact to summer league but think he'd be a great player to compliment KO or Zeller. He can rebound, alter shots and has potential to anchor a defense. Hope Austin Ainge is telling his dad to grab this guy.

I will admit I was shocked that Patric Young went undrafted, I thought he would atleast be selected 2nd round or possibly selected by the Celtics (he was best center available at pick 17 and we needed a center). Not saying James Young was a bad decision, not at all, but surely I was shocked Patric Young went undrafted.

My wife went to UF so I watch a lot of their games...Patrick Young is exactly the type of guy you want coming off the bench on your team....a better Leon Powe with 2 good knees.

Okay, I had to come here just because of the first 5 words of the title of this thread lol ::)  You honestly think that the Celtics should sign the pig lizard from galaxy quest? ;D  In all seriousness, however, does the guy have any tangible skill other than physicality, because I didn't see anything against UCONN in the tournament (small sample size, I know).

He's from where I'm from. Big boring city of Jacksonville (which may also describe his game).

I know some people who knew him at UF and he went to Providence School during the same time my close friend attended there. There was a basketball tournament that he was hosting after their Final Four loss that I was about to enter but I chickened out because I didn't want to embarrass myself.

For those saying he's scary lol.... He's a nice humble guy who's a devout Christian and is probably the polar opposite of a guy like Ivan Johnson.

Personally, I just don't see him fitting with Brad Steven's system as his game is too one-dimensional and although he's strong he still doesn't have tremendous length to fill the team's need at center.
