Okafor is as good as ours in one of the best big men drafts in NBA history. Sell Rondo for anything, anything more than 16 wins is unacceptable. Are you up for doing the right thing Ainge?

If you want Okafor bad enough, it shouldn't be a problem. He's a free agent, though he didn't play at all last year.

Shouldn't have to lose 66 games next season, just for that.

Actually, if you want the first pick, it looks like 33 wins is the way to go  (aka CLE last year).

Lol, so true.

First the Cavs get three no 1 draft picks in the last 4 years, then Lebron suddenly ends up back in Cleveland and now they are on the verge of acquiring every other star in all of sports.

Boy, nothing suspicious about that!! ::)

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
I like Karl Towns better than Okafor but to each his own.

I will accept whatever the Celtics end up doing with Rondo. My opinion is that Id like to trade him and go youth movement. But I enjoy watching the rebuilding process.

This broke my heart reading this sentence.

Lebron is definitely gonna win 2-3 more championships in CLE.

I would love to have Towns if Rondo is here. He reminds me of a more athletic Kevin Love.

Getting whatever you can for Rondo? No thanks.

Tanking to get a top 3 pick? Just tried that.

Let's root for this team to take a step in the right direction and add through the draft. We have multiple 1st round picks, and if we fall into the lottery we never win it anyways.

There is no team I hate more than the Cleveland Crapaliers. Anywhere with LeBron in it is always my most hated team lol. LA ain't even on the top of my list anymore after 2011.

Lucky butt franchise with three #1 picks in the last four years. Smh.

I want us to move our vets and go young (aka tank) this season as well, but saying Okafor is as good as ours is silly.  However, just like last year, if we can get around a top 5 pick we should be sitting pretty.  2015 doesn't have the depth that this year's draft did (few do), but there should be some very nice pieces in the top 10, especially the top 5.  Okafor, Towns, Miles, Alexander, Mudiay, etc, all look to be very intriguing prospects.

I assume we'll deal Bass and play a core of mostly RR/AB/MT/MS at guard, JG at SF, KO/JS/TZ/(VF?) at PF/C. Even keeping Rondo it's hard to envision more than 30-33 wins.

Milwaukee, Orlando and Utah's cores got better; LA, Philly (I think) got worse or about stayed the same, Kings will be worse if they don't get JSmooth. That puts us in the #3-6 range assuming a few surprises. If they make lottery changes, that should give us a tie for the highest chance at #1.

In the 2015 draft, we have 3 centers (apparently) in the top 4, Towns looks pretty great. Okafor's an offensive force. JO/KO would be offensively deadly and provide great spacing, but may lack defense.

We also have 2 SFs in the #6-8 range if we land a lower pick (Stanley Johnson & Justise Winslow) to use a realistic pick fill a position of need with ideally the bpa and an elite talent.

After next year's draft and summer of financial fluidity, tanking should be out of the question, but given where we are and how our needs mesh with next draft's talent, it's part of the plan this year.

You want to win with the young players playing key roles.
