There's been a lot of discussion about whether or not the Celtics should trade Rondo, so I made a poll.

Here's a video about it specifically: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2132741-howard-beck-with-jessica-camerato-about-rajon-rondos-future-in-boston

It's pointless to keep him when we're clearly in rebuilding mode.  It's going to take a few years before we're contenders, so we can either pay a lot for him to stay here and make us mediocre or we can trade him away now and get some value for him.

Now that the Love domino has officially fallen, it's time for people to face the facts and move on from Rondo.

Option 4: Let him be awesome and healthy and lead a team. Let him put up numbers and wins deserving of a max contract player and then recruit the hell out of whoever hits the market and shutup Jeff Goodmans stupid face.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Keep him, you need a star and Rondo is your guy. Especially when people keep saying "no stars want to play in Boston."

This! rebuild around him! if sully/ko/smart and zeller all pans out then we'll be a contender in the East..
Amateurs worry about equipment, professionals worry about money, masters worry about light… I just take pictures…

but if no other stars want to come to Boston, then how much difference do you think Rondo is going to make?  Problem is we cant give him away, but other teams clearly don't value him as much as we do. if he wants to stay for 13 million then OK.  Then you could try to acquire 4 more 10 million dollar guys and hope to do what the Spurs did.

I have been saying this all along.  With Stevens at the helm, KO/Sully/Smart/Zeller/Bradley and Rondo as leader we just might surprise the east this year. We will make the playoffs this year.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

We aren't making the playoffs. We're the 4th worst team in the league

I get that this is a fan blog but we need to stop talking about Zeller like hes going to develop into something more than he is just because hes on our team. He is a back up center and will be one the rest of his career. Hes a depth center not a young prospect to be hopeful about.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Smart
Bradley
Green
Sully
Zeller

Johnson
Olynyk
Pressey
Bass
JAnthony

A pretty good young team, with good veterans around.

Rondo might help develop the group for one year, and then let the chips fall.

Wish Houston hadn't given away the farm.

He still has plenty of time to develop, I know you want to be realistic but you got to be patient and see what this player could become.
