Due to Lebron signing with the Cavs's , that puts another team as a shoe-in for the Eastern conference playoffs. Bulls sign Gasol. Charlotte picks up Lance, Wizards Pierce, Hawks get back Hortford, Pacers are still the Pacers, Toronto kept its core together.
With Pierce and Livingston gone, KG possibly retiring sooner than later, Where does this leave the nets currently? They tried to do the Boston 3 year championship run and it clearly failed. They have no reason to tank without draft picks. Is it safe to say with these off season transactions, if the East teams keep there core's intact, we will definitely be seeing some nice draft picks in the future? Depending on the Rondo and Green situations we should have money to sign FA's and be drafting top prospects at the same time.
I know the NBA has a petition or something to give all non playoff teams equal opportunity to obtain the #1 pick due to tanking. Overall, these last 3 months on this forum I'vs started to realize we kinda DON't need fireworks right this second. Why throw our assets away to ALMOST COMPETE and Lose in a conference finals when we clearly have a great 3 year game plan to compete for years to come? At this point If i gotta give up Smart, KO,(WISH I could say the same for Sully), to get LOVE, it might not even be worth it! AGAIN, just MY THOUGHTS!
And can someone also explain to me what year picks we have from Nets and how each one works?
