Cleveland Cavaliers now willing to include Wiggins in Kevin Love trade offer http://bit.ly/1jCywgN

That was only a matter of time.
Yeah I figured that was the case.

Bah.

I've always thought they'd be nuts not to include Wiggins if that's the dealbreaker for Love.

Sure, you can gamble with the allure of potential or become the immediate & outright favorite in the East for 2014-15 (sorry, they're not, as currently constructed) and have a legitimate chance of bringing CLE its first championship in 50 years or whatever it is.

It just blows that the Celtics could potentially have to deal with a Cavs juggernaut of Irving/Lebron/Love for the forseeable future.

Is this sourced beyond "what LeBron wants, he gets"?
It doesn't matter if that's what he wants he'll get it he's basically on a 1-year deal, you think LeBron came to Cleveland just to go home and all this other BS? No, he came to buddy up with Kyrie and create a super team AGAIN knowing [dang] well Love was attainable.

And that we're not going to be able to land the one clear all-star talent available to pair with Rondo.

thats why I wanted to go after Melo not sure cap wise what could have been done probably a longshot but was hoping we had tried to dump Wallace and picks to NY for Melo

step back from the ledge people. Maybe this is true, maybe not. Flip saunders said the opposite this morning in a way, saying he wouldn't trade Love. Why believe insider bob or whoever the heck this is over him? I think it makes sense for both teams to wait. Kind of think trading wiggins for Love is pretty dumb of the cavs, so we shouldn't be too upset if insider bob is correct.

also, we are assuming way too much. Can we trust the source that Love said he will re-sign if LeBron was in the Cavs? Was that his agent, or Love said it himself, or "another source close" said it?

What if Kevin Love pulls a Dwight Howard and bolts after 1 season

Exactly. There is zero rim protection on that team. And who is to say Kyrie Irving and Verajao both stay healthy for an entire year?

Lebron James is enamored with star power just like most of today's NBA fanbase.

The Spurs just destroyed you in the finals without a "star," but with a complete team.

don't forget Love also has his fair share of injury woes :)

I think the Cavs frontcourt will be their ultimate undoing this upcoming season, personally.  I'm not sure they can get out of the East with that current crop and they would get railroaded by the likes of San Antonio if they did make the Finals.

Adding Love makes them more likely to get to the Finals but they'd still have an uphill battle in the Finals.

So I guess Lebron didn't learn anything from the finals, where he has no help because they spent all their money on 3 guys....

Yeah I don't think trading for an all-star PF hurts them, especially when they're moving a SG/SF who's a rookie for him.

I agree they need to put together other things around Love/LBJ, but that's not something Wiggins fixes anyways.

anyone that would be delighted to see Cleveland, 3-time draft winner in the last 4 years, send out wiggins for love due to Lebron's wishes and then await Lebron opting out in 2 years to follow the next top option to contend for a title?

if this trade happens I'm so hoping Wiggins turns into a superstud of a player and Love, Kyrie and AV have their usual assortment of injuries and Bron never sniffs another title in Cleveland.

The Cavs don't have a ton of salary flexibility, meaning they'd have to send some decent talent to Minnesota along with Wiggins.  They'd probably have to include two of Bennett, Waiters, and Thompson.

Say it's Wiggins + Waiters + Bennett for Love.  I think that's way too much.
