Rodney Stuckey has agreed to join the Indiana Pacers on a one-year deal, @USATODAYsports has learned. Nice pickup after losing Stephenson.

Interesting signing. I hope this one works out well. Always liked Stuckey.

I am shocked.  Shocked, I tell you (sarcasm).  Indiana is also interested in Xavier Henry, but even between them, they aren't going to replace Lance Stephenson, imo.  Remember when Danny liked Stuckey, and we kept hearing those stupid trade ideas of Rondo and Ray for Rip and Stuckey?  Lol, that was some funny **** right there.  He's a great 6th man, but I just don't think that his style of play fits with the other starters, mainly because of his lack of range.  He has a great midrange and post up game, in addition to looking like 50 cent, though ;)  I wonder how he would have fared here, behind Rondo and Ray.  It's just something to think about.  I'll tell you what, though, trading Billups to let this kid take over was a HUGE MISTAKE.  He's not a pg, plain and simple, and hey, even with their age, had they stayed together, that 08-09 Piston team would have been one tough out, especially with Stuckey and Afflalo coming off of the bench.  50 played pretty well against Cleveland in the playoffs that year, simply overpowering Mo Williams in the post.

Meh,  Stuckey was supposed to be better.  Seems he got buried on the Pistons bench.  Why?  Was he injured?  Hardly a replacement for Stephenson IMO.

I like this for Indy.  he's not as good as Stephenson when he's on his game but Stuckey's a solid player

Sure, Indy' stacked positions 3-4, but I don't see them making any noise this year with arguably the worst backcourt in the league (Detroits up there). Hill/Stuckey/Watson/Miles. Yuck!

Stuckey is a very good player. He gets to the hoop and the FT line well, and is a very good ball handler. This was Indiana's best option once Stephenson left.

Pacers are just getting worse and worse.
They let Stephenson go and signed Stuckey.
Indycornrows riot

Bird made only bad moves in the last two years.

Veteran minimum? That's crazy. He's not a starting caliber player, but a good bench guy.

One year to get away from a team that's become toxic the past handful of years, chance to start (maybe?) and regain exposure as a solid contributor to a contending team. Usually works out well for these types of players in this deals.

We'll see if he performs up to standards.
