Snooze, Snooze, and Snooze some more.

I wouldn't mind just signing him to an extension and keeping him through his prime years-28-31.  We aren't likely to find a better SF/PF like him.  Focus on turning all these draft picks and dead weight contracts into a better big man or a 6-5 SG that can shoot the lights out.

To be honest I expect more of the same.

I think he might make some improvements in a few areas, but only modest ones.  Ultimately I think he will be one of the few guys on this team (along with Bass) who is highly predictable - he'll play every game, he'll give you 16-17 points a night, and he'll play some solid defence.  Same as always.

You people have to realize that Green can opt out of his contract after this year. I say Green has a monster year this year and opts out. Weather he is a Celtic come trade deadline thats anther question.   22 PPG 6 REB 2.4 AST

He didn't have Rondo all season to take the pressure off....22/6 sounds good...just can't believe that he's 6'10 can move and shoot like that and isn't putting up 20 every year.

He's going to get paid well when he opt out too....the league is thin at SF and C.

I'm hopeful Green pulls a Trevor Ariza. If he does, I think we're a playoff team.

Alternatively, I hope he gets shipped to Atlanta for a future protected 1st.  They missed out on all the small forwards this year, after paying the price of the draft rights to Lucas Nogueira in order to relieve themselves of one year of Lou Williams to create more cap room.  I think Jeff would be a good fit for that team, and vice versa.  With Horford, Milsap, Teague, and Korver, they're not looking for someone to lead them in scoring most nights.

I really don't understand all the hate for jeff green whatsoever.  The guy has heart surgery and manages to come back and play.  For him to even play at any sort of nba stature is amazing.  Ya maybe he's not always consistent but again the gut hit game winners took over some games, didn't have rondo for the whole season. The guy still has potential to be a star and don't care what people say. His strides and the way he can get up in air with ball flat in his hand is so pretty. His Stats really aren't bad at all would love to see comparisons of his stats to top 20 in the league.  Just like the rondo hate on here there's no way to convince the blog of anything they will never agree, always negative

More than anything I expect about the same production, but more efficiently.

we understand that he got a heart surgery.. he's recovery is amazing...
the problem/"hate" is on his inconsistency which he have issues even before his heart surgery..

Exactly.  The year after his heart surgery, for the few games he played, he looked like a different person, a man on a mission.  Last year when it's his time to shine, he finds a hole to crawl in.  He will put up 40 points one game and the next 5 average 4 pts a game.  He is in his 6th year, has been compared to James worthy, is probably one of the most athletic SF's in the League, and all he can do is sit around and suck his thumb for half the season.  We're tired of it becasue we've all seen what he can do.  He coulda been THE go to guy this year, but nope.  We've all tried to understand, but come on, he's a grown man that needs to step up and earn his money.

For a player of his stature I think that contract is team friendly especially with the market for these similar type players.  Parsons contract is honestly above his value in my opinion.  You can say he disappeared offensively and what not but jeff green was there defensively every game.  He locked down lebron most of the time and I really feel like the guy is just looked through a microscope and just never given a chance. Again though if someone would kindly throw out stats of say top 20 I'd love to see where jeff sits

I expect him to keep being Jeff Green and I'm fine with it. he's a good player well worth his pay. Anyway, this will be another lottery year, so there's nothing really to worry about.

Green is one of those guys that dislikes the spotlight.  You put a little pressure on him and he may disappear.   Some games you would think he didn't even play but still ends up scoring 16 points.

I've given up on hoping Green will finally become a very good/consistent player and will also give up on being so hard on him. There is no point.

Hopefully due to some decent additions, he will play better than he did last season.  What are your expectations?

I expect a guy who doesn't make too many glaring unforced errors and who can be trusted to give you a reasonable chance if you call a play for him in a pressure-filled situation.

He should be a three-and-D guy who can defend multiple positions and occasionally go off for 30+ points.  I'd like for Bradley, Sullinger, and Olynyk to progress so that Green isn't the first option on the floor.
